Immediate Release, 12 December 2003 1-PAGE NEWS RELEASE Copenhagen’s Boserup elected Chairman of ACI Geneva, Switzerland - Niels Boserup, CEO, Copenhagen Airports Ltd, was unanimously elected Chairman of ACI for a two-year term starting 1 January 2004 at the ACI General Assembly on 6 December in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Chairman of ACI presides over meetings of the General Assembly, the Governing Board and the Executive Committee of the global organization and serves as a spokesman for ACI. Niels Boserup is a Member of the ACI World and EUROPE boards and has in the past served as both Treasurer and President of ACI EUROPE. Niels Boserup was appointed CEO of the newly corporatised Copenhagen Airports in March 1991 and transformed it into a substantially privatised and profitable airports group. He is now also chairman of Denmark's leading financial newspaper, on which he once worked as a journalist and has many years top management experience across various sectors. Before joining Copenhagen Airports, he was a Director of Codan Insurance. He is Chairman of William Demant Holding A/S, Oticon A/S, Jyllands-Posten A/S and CADI A/S (Copenhagen Airport Development International A/S). Mr. Boserup is Deputy Chairman of the Wonderful Copenhagen Foundation and a board member of Newcastle International Airport Ltd., TK Development A/S and the Jyllands-Posten Foundation. Boserup told the ACI World Governing Board, in accepting this position that his experience in building cooperation between Copenhagen Airport and its airline partners could be a model for other airport operators. He noted: “IATA’s calls for heavier regulation of airports are misplaced. In Copenhagen, the airport and airlines have built an atmosphere of trust and were able to agree on charges levels without government intervention”. ACI Director General Robert J. Aaronson noted: “The times require a strong voice on behalf of airports. Niels Boserup will be an energetic and articulate spokesman for our members and we look forward to working closely with him on issues which are critical to our beleaguered industry.” For additional information please contact: Robert J.
