How many SOL tests do I have to pass? The number of SOL tests needed for graduation depends on when you entered public school in Virginia. You will be notified by mail of the specific testing dates and times, and you will be required to register for the tests you wish to take. You may take the tests as many times as you wish until you pass them. Is SOL tutoring available? Tutoring is available after school throughout the year, and review sessions are offered on the two Saturdays prior to the May test administration. Five day intensive tutoring is available in the summer, and registration for these classes takes place during summer school registration in June.
