The postmark deadline for our non-binding Early Action Program (EAP) is November 15.

Students are notified of their admission decisions by January 15 and, if admitted, receive priority consideration for merit scholarships, housing, and orientation. Students submitting an application by the

February 1 Regular Notification deadline are notified of their admission decisions by March 15. The

• DePaul University is “test-optional” for students who apply as freshmen for the fall term of 2014.

Students interested in this option are encouraged to talk to an admission counselor to get more information. In adopting a test-optional approach, DePaul seeks to further enhance our studentcentered admission process.

• DePaul University is located on two main campuses within the city of Chicago. Students study at one of eight different colleges and can choose among over 200 academic programs. At the heart of each program is a liberal studies core curriculum, which allows students to explore a wide variety of academic interests.

• DePaul awards over $21 million in academic, service and leadership, and talent scholarships to enrolled students. Application materials must be postmarked by November 15 for priority consideration for academic scholarships under the Early Action Program (EAP). Service and leadership scholarships, as well as talent awards, have a February 1 deadline.

• DePaul and the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science established the Alliance for Health Sciences in 2012 to give students increased access to contemporary professional health education and state-of-the-art health and medical training facilities. Accelerated Pathways

Programs into six highly competitive programs at Rosalind Franklin are being rolled out to qualified students applying to DePaul for fall 2014.

• Illinois Wesleyan is one of two top-tiered national liberal arts college to utilize the

4-4-1 academic calendar and the optional May Term. May Term offers many options for travel, internships and independent study.

• Illinois Wesleyan is excited to announce the addition of lacrosse to its athletic program. The men are scheduled to begin competition in the spring of 2014 and the women’s team opening the spring of 2015. Illinois Wesleyan University has been a leader in Division III athletics for many years, including numerous final-four appearances, six national championships, and 114 Academic

All-American athletes. IWU provides an ideal environment in which strong student athletes excel, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence with lacrosse.

• Two new buildings will open in the fall of 2013—student apartments and a $15-million geothermal classroom building that will contain technology-rich classrooms, seminar rooms and a small auditorium style case study classroom as well as house economics and educational studies research labs, conference rooms and faculty offices for the Business Administration and

Economics departments.

As a residential community, the University has created a variety of living options to foster a community that offers enjoyable, sustainable and inclusive communities that support and enhance students' academic achievement and personal development. Chemistry, Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, Musical Theatre, Nursing, Recreation,

• Western Illinois University offers all incoming freshmen a mentoring opportunity through our

Building Connections program. New freshmen are connected to a faculty or staff member to aid in the transition of living and learning on a college campus.
