Welcome to the AFF where you can connect to a highly engaged, culturally active and captive audience, while exposing your brand to filmmakers from all walks within the industry. AFF is a grassroots non-for-profit operation that began in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1981, offering one sole film festival event - it’s an organization that has come a long way in three decades. Now based in Halifax, the cultural hub of Atlantic Canada, the AFF has blossomed into a cultural mainstay in Atlantic Canada that offers a year-round celebration of film. The AFF events target diverse segments and audiences, and its flagship event has grown to become one of the premiere film festivals in Canada. Whether for industry folk, unabashed film lovers or curious onlookers, the AFF offers a slew of opportunities to engage audiences through the connective power of film. Today’s Atlantic Film Festival is now a year-round celebration, growing beyond our eight-day cornerstone event in September to include: Atlantic Film Festival: It’s a festival that turns Halifax – a charming and historic coastal city – into an international Mecca for the arts, abuzz with filmmakers, industry types and film lovers.
