Graduate students who are accepted into this grant supported program will receive:
¾ Specialized 4 year training program that includes multicultural courses and field work experiences (2014-2018)
¾ Funding for tuition and student fees
¾ Monthly stipend for expenses (e.g., travel, books)
¾ Funding to travel to the annual National Association of School Psychologists conference
($1,000 annually)
¾ Paid membership to the National Association of School Psychologists
¾ Free summer institute every year
¾ Additional supports in the form of faculty mentoring, peer mentoring, academic and nonacademic supports (e.g., individual advisement, monthly support group meetings)
* The CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE PRACTICES IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY: PRESCHOOL TO HIGH SCHOOL project is funded by the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, United States
Department of Education. Individuals who receive scholarships are required to sign a service obligation agreement stating that they will repay the costs of this assistance by providing two years of full-time employment for each year that they receive scholarship assistance (i.e., 4 years of academic support = 8 years of full-time service).
