Adding Blackboard as a Trusted Site – Internet Explorer 8
To ensure that Blackboard features such as the Visual Text Box Editor that is used with the Discussion Board and
with quizzes, it is recommended that you add the Blackboard web address to your list of trusted sites

From the Tools menu at the top right, select Internet Options.

Click on the Security tab, then Trusted Sites and then Sites.

The address will be pre-populated based on the website that you are on. If necessary, type in the
address, click Add. Enter any additional addresses so that you trust:
https://blackboard.newark.rutgers.edu
https://blackboard.rutgers.edu
https://www.rutgers.edu

Click Close.

Click OK.
