Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare’s plays, which relatively
seldom gets staged in Poland. It tells the story about the vicissitudes of the
life of two young couples – one appears to be united in candid love which
nothing would be able to destroy; the other one continues to be engaged
in verbal clashes. Both couples will be exposed to a court intrigue and will
survive, though experiencing a little bit of bitterness.
What exactly is love? How do other people affect our feelings? And what
is all this ado about? This seemingly frivolous comedy casts light on what
drives people and encourages reflection on one’s own attitude to life and
the decisions taken.

How to check if the person we want to marry is worthy of our feelings?
The play recommends dressing up in someone else’s attire and looking up
close at the unexpecting candidate. This is what one of the main female
characters does – as The Chevalier she observes Lelio, who is meant for
her, as he breaks up with The Countess having received a financially more
lucrative marriage proposal.
In the cynical world of money and libertarianism no one comes out of this
game unscathed. It appears that there is no room for love and the sole
entertainment is verbal fencing and the satisfaction which is derived from
punishing the deceitful character.

Coldplay’s latest album – Mylo Xyloto – has the features of eminence,
proof of which is the fact that within merely a month from its release
it has already hit the 2011 top ten best-selling albums in the UK, with
almost half a million copies sold.
During its creation the artists were inspired by The Wire series, the
anti-Nazi movement of the White Rose as well as old-school graffiti,
which can be seen in the graphics of the album, the stage setting of the
concerts as well as in the appearance of the band in all materials and
events promoting Mylo Xyloto.
