Now, our growing team needs a Sales Engineer with expertise in providing technical product support. Primary Purpose As a Sales Engineer you will support the development of business opportunities in conjunction with the sales team. Where appropriate, you will provide consultancy to aid customers in the development of their requirements. You will work to understand a customer’s requirements, assist in the qualification process, and use the company’s standard product and services portfolio, along with your knowledge of Enterprise Content Management and Rich Media Management platforms to create a suitable solution in concept. This includes the ability to develop a technical sales strategy and create effective demonstration solutions that address customer requirements. You will be an essential part of the sales organization at Genus, and will be a key player in the development of the pre-sales organization. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties Author the technical sections of proposals for prospective customers and, where necessary, work closely with internal product and engineering teams to define acceptable solution proposals. Validate appropriate order documentation initiated by sales prior to submission, or, in the case of projects, to brief Project Management to ensure they are equipped to deliver the solution. Work closely with the sales team in the account planning and development process, and support their understanding of how products and services can be applied in the customer environment. Maintain and develop knowledge of Genus’s product set and of Enterprise Content Management and Rich Media Management products and services, specifically related to an assigned subject matter expert area. Interface with customers to determine technical requirements and expectations. Provide product knowledge transfer to other members of the sales organization to enhance their ability to use products to create customer solutions. Assist Sales Representatives in presentations to customers and be responsible for the presentation of proposed solutions for customer applications, with alternatives based on customer-specific technical and financial parameters. That will include preparation of system architecture drawings, technical specifications, and assisting Sales with pricing. Perform other support duties as assigned and to execute the agreed Sales Engineering actions arising from those duties.
