appreciation to all the talented

this year’s event. Special thanks to
Mrs. Hemmingson for coordinating
the project.
Sacred
Heart
Academy
opened its doors in 1889,
when the original Sacred
Heart Church was converted
into a two-story school.
Five
Dominican
sisters
were welcomed from the
Motherhouse in New York and 150 students enrolled the first year. Today, after many additions, renovations and improvements;
considerable growth in enrollment; and the noted privilege of being the
only K through 12 Catholic school remaining in the Saginaw Diocese (and
one of a select few in the State of Michigan); SHA proudly celebrates
a quasquicentennial—one and a quarter centuries of Catholic tradition.
SHA currently has more than 435 students, and over 3,700 graduates
who carry a legacy of faith, leadership and service in their lives.

Special Tributes & Menu
To our Dinner/Auction Guests. . .
SHAgala is successful because of you! Your generous support of Catholic education and your attendance
at our event is greatly appreciated by the students, staff and parents at Sacred Heart Academy. Thank
you so much for being with us. We hope you will continue to join us each year as we raise money for the
Academy and enjoy each other’s company.
To our Auction Donors. . .
The proceeds directly benefit operations of our school. This allows SHA to keep the cost of Catholic
education affordable and accessible to families of Mid-Michigan. Sacred Heart Academy is the only Dk
through 12 Catholic school remaining in the Saginaw Diocese, and one of a select few in the state of
Michigan. We appreciate your contribution to our mission.
To all the Dedicated Event Volunteers. . .
Volunteers are truly the soul of this event. Without the generous gifts of time and talent from so many of
our parents, alumni, parishioners, families and friends, we simply could not host such an amazing event.
We are deeply appreciative of the time and talent invested to enrich the education of SHA students.
To our Master of Ceremonies, Bryan Wieferich . . .
Adding you to the team was a stroke of genius! You make the event run smoothly and keep the energy high
during the live auction and other events. We are honored to have you with us.
To Sheridan Auctioneers. . .
For 20 years counting you have been the key to our successful Live Auction. Thank you for the amazing
job you do keeping bids high for Sacred Heart Academy, and keeping the program moving for an exciting
evening. We value your friendship and support.

Beautiful Amethyst Pendant and
Earring Set
Buy a blinky-ring and play to win! You will want this beautiful Amethyst Pendant and Earring Set. Amethyst, the
birthstone of February, is a spectacular purple color that
ranges from a blend of deep violet and red to a lighter lilac hue. Ancient Greeks believed that the stone protected
the wearer from drunkenness and enabled them to keep
a balanced mindset. Winner has a choice of keeping the
luxurious set, valued at $1,000 or choosing a $600 gift
card for a shopping spree at Ace of Diamonds. The choice
is yours! To win, buy a light-up ring for $10 and get in the
game. When the emcee announces, stand up and put
your hands (with the light-up ring) on either your HEAD
or your TAIL. The announcer will flip a coin to call it. If
you guessed correctly, remain standing. If not, sit down.
The game moves quickly, and the last one standing wins.
Look for this fun event to take place approximately 10
p.m. in the Dining Area.
