TABLET TIME AT
MOLSON COORS
WASP Technologies and Molson Coors Ireland have
come together to deploy the latest
IntelliBrand solution from WASP on Samsung Galaxy
Tablets. IntelliBrand, which is the leading Field Sales,
Store Auditing & Surveying solution, enables Molson
Coors to manage, measure and report in real time,
across the entire sales process.
"This has been a very successful deployment and we
are delighted to now count Molson Coors as one of
our major customers" according to
Richard Baird Sales Director.
Ger Corkery, National Field Sales Manager at Molson
Coors, had led the project from the outset and is very
complimentary of the latest WASP solution. According
to Ger “I have worked with the WASP Technologies
team for a number of years now but moving their
system to run on tablets has made a transformational
change to how the Molson Coors Sales Team go
about their daily routines”. The Sales Team can now
access any product and marketing media, capture
critical customer data and make full use of e-mail and
typical Microsoft Office solutions.
The new IntelliBrand / Samsung Galaxy Tab
digital presenter capability has seen a higher level of
engagement by customers delivering a powerful
benefit in the sales process. According to Ger “The
ability to bring a Customer through a presentation
or showcase a new display solution without having
to pull out sales folders or wait for a laptop
to boot up is very powerful and I can never see
us going back from here.”
Molson Coors launched in Ireland in 2010 and have
scaled their business up substantially since then as
they build a portfolio of extraordinary brands that
includes Carling, Cobra, Grolsch and Blue Moon. A
fundamental part of the business strategy is to have a
team of great sales people working closely with their
customers on a daily basis to develop mutual
benefiting sales opportunities.
Important to any sales team is the need to
capture field data to better understand where
they should focus their resources. The new tablet
platform really lends itself to this with the larger
screen size facilitating an ever more efficient data
capture experience.
The demand of this format is such that every new
project WASP has deployed since mid 2011 has opted
for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1”. The benefits of
the screen size are very obvious and compelling. The
portability and over all user friendliness of the tablets
combined with the ability to fully support e-mail and
Microsoft Office are at last possible.
Summarising the new system Ger says "Molson Coors
now have a team of 25 sales people in Ireland for
which the IntelliBrand system has become an integral
and valued part of their daily work. The inherent
benefits are such that I know I would struggle to get
any of them to give up their Samsung Galaxy Tab.”
Wasp Technologies are continuing
to win new business in the FMCG
industry with the Drinks industry
responding particularly well. “We are
seeing strong growth in the number of
high profile drinks distribution
companies now using IntelliBrand and
experiencing the many benefits the
solution offers” said Richard Baird.
WASP has recently been awarded a
significant project in the UK and which

increasing its market share in the Tablet
