Boom is for all seniors and boomers who like to have lunch with friends. Please join us at Bud’s Skyline Inn in Moline. It has been suggested that we have a “Wear something Gaudy Day.” Do you have something gaudy? I hope so, if not, come anyway! We should be a colorful group. Please let Mary Lou Johnson, Diane Ballard, Bev or Rich Harper, or Vergie or Chuck Copeland know if you can join us. If not, we will still save a chair for you and a friend if you would like to bring one. In Christ’s Love, Vergie Copeland Andrews Group We were eating with S.I.S. Boom group on Friday, March 21st and I mentioned six of us would be staying for our “Andrew Group.” Several people were curious as to what the Andrew Group does in the life of our church so, I thought I should update the congregation of our services. Over ten years ago Reverend Ken Kline organized a group of eight church members to convene for the purpose of uplifting members of the congregation who need support of any kind. We are not a secret organization; only concerned church members who seek opportunities to grow in a relationship with God, others, and ourselves by improving knowledge, attitude, and skills. We participate in the corporate life of the congregation in such a way that the faith of others is strengthened. We meet on the third Sunday of each month at noon at the Crack Barrel to adjust our prayer list for the month. If you would like us to pray for a particular item, please contact us. Your prayer is confidential, only between God, us and you. Don & Lynn Reffett, Rich & Bev Harper, and Chuck & Vergie Copeland FCC Book Club April’s book is “The Storyteller” by Jodi Picoult Ladies! If you are a member of CWF, please give to your group treasurer, leader, or Phyllis Comp, CWF Treasurer. We would like everyone to participate in this special project, NOT JUST CWF MEMBERS. This is a fun easy way to help our CWF members attend the Quadrennial. So, get the whole family involved. Your help is greatly appreciated! Sanctuary Clean up in April is Friends in Christ After befriending an old man in her town, Sage Singer is deeply shocked when he begs her for a terrible favor - until he shares his darkest secret with her.
