CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION

The Christmas day was celebrated on 23.12.2013. The staff and the student - teachers
gathered in the Multi- purpose Hall at 1.30 p.m. Adopted students from the neighbourhood were also
invited for the celebration.
The programme started at 1.15 p.m with a prayer song by Ms.Antopreethi and Ms.Monisha.
Then welcome speech was given by Rev.Fr.KumarRaja, the Principal of St.Thomascollege of
education.Following this, Rev.Fr.Kumar Raja felicitated the chief guest Msgr.Rev.Fr.X.D.Selvaraj
and honoured him with a shawl and memento.
A tableau was presented by Ms.Leno and group in order to commomerate the birth of
Jesus Christ. The Christmas carol was sung by Sr.Jasmineand group. It was followed by a dance by
Ms Capriya and group.
An inspiring Christmasmessage was given by Msgr.Rev. Fr.X.D.Selvaraj. Then an English carol was
sung by Sr.Jasmine and group. Then Christmsgifts were distributed to theStaff and Neighbour hood
Children, by Rev. Fr. X.D.Selvaraj.All the student - teachers were given First Aid Certificate for
attending First Aid Course given by St. Ann’s College of Nursing.
A dance performance was given by Ms.Shamini& group. Adoptedchildren gave an excellent
dance performance. Finally all the student – teachers and the children were entertained with the
Santa claus visit. Sweets were distributed by the Santa Claus. Towards the end, high tea was provided.
