Macintosh OS 9.0 Dialup Configuration
Macintosh System 9, just like Windows has
built-in Internet software that with the right
settings will enable you to access the
worldwide network. This guide will help do the
needed configurations.

Open Remote Access from the Control Panels
under the Apple menu.

Click Options to be assured that you have the correct
preferences. Most of the items under the Connection
tab vary depending on your likeness. Say, if you want
to automatically disconnect the session if not in use
for certain minutes of time.

Under this window, never select Connect to a
command-line host.
Supply your username, password and one of the
dialup access numbers of MosCom.

To save you the effort of re-attempting to dial when
busy becomes persistent, enable the Redial option
from this tab. You can even set alternate number and
redial it as well. Click Okay to save.
At this point you have completed setting up Remote
Access but for it to work you should confirm proper
TCP/IP preferences. While on Remote Access
select it from the menu as seen above.

You can also get the same window from the Control
Panels under the Apple menu.
Connect via : PPP
Configure : Using PPP Server
Name server address : 202.47.132.9 & 202.47.132.6
Search Domain : mozcom.com
To save all items here, close the TCP/IP window then click
Save as the system prompts you.

Finally, select Modem from the Remote Access
menu. (can also be found from the Control Panels)
10. Your are now ready to connect using Remote Access
dialer and enjoy surfing through Internet webs and
send messages to your friends.
Some Macintosh machines have built-in Infrared
device and other communication ports which might be
selected instead of the real modem component.

Connect via : the port where your modem is
attached
Modem : the modem brand device driver
Ignore dial tone is optional but can be turned on in
case of poor dial tone signal.
Then as you close the Modem box, select Save to make
changes permanent.
