Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the daily shipment of products to customers as well as
receiving and distributing all incoming shipments.
Duties & Responsibilities

Package and otherwise prepare finished products for final shipment to customers. Make
arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified in the sales/purchase order.

Manage the receipt and return shipment of products sent in for repair.

Complete all paperwork associated with shipping, including international orders.

Organize and distribute the tracking information on outgoing shipments to staff members as
needed.

Coordinate with Purchasing Control Specialist to receive, inspect and distribute all incoming
materials against purchase orders in a computerized database. Notify Purchasing Control
Specialist of any shortages or wrong items received. Report defective materials and other
problems via quality system.

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Gives supplies orders to the Purchasing
Control Specialist.

Participates in regular scheduled physical inventory and cycle counts. Works with Purchasing
Control Specialist to maintain proper inventory levels.

Aid the team with other production duties as needed to ensure the on-time delivery of products to
customers.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations and
general business documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and technical
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
managers, employees, vendors, and other business contacts.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to interpret a variety of non-technical l instructions. Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
