The course focuses on developing and practising communicative skills and enriching and expanding vocabulary. Grammar is not an explicit part of the course; however, persistent problems will be remedied. The use of authentic texts, film extracts and music gives students a real taste of the language, culture and society. New students have to make the entry test. It is a communicative methodology, placing strong emphasis on real-world language and everyday situations. In Nouveau Rond-Point there is systematic focus on grammar and vocabulary to enable learners to develop their abilities in all skill areas. Language is learned within a socio-cultural context, so that students get to know more about French culture and society. Version Originale 4 guides students to use French effectively, with a special emphasis on communication. It is dedicated to people who would like to develop their vocabulary and linguistic fluency above an upper-intermediate level. In combination with thorough language presentation it will enable students to communicate both fluently and accurately. The conversation course makes use of: Oui, mais..., C. Engelen, J. De Pessemier, Editions Pelckmans. Oui, mais... offers a series of activities concerning current social topics. The activities are built up progressively and the topics are taught in an innovative and varied way. Oui, mais... is aimed at adults with good prior knowledge of French.
