Ensure you are eligible to apply for the scholarship by reading the eligibility criteria below. 2. Complete the CSUF Ambassador of International Education Scholarship Application. 3. Write a 500 word essay explaining you intent to study abroad (how study abroad will help you achieve academic, professional, and personal goals) and the types of classes you intend to take while abroad. 4. Ask two CSUF faculty members to fill out the attached reference forms. The reference forms must be completed by CSUF faculty who have taught you recently. Reference forms from non-CSUF faculty will not be accepted. 5. Photocopy your study abroad program budget (see your study abroad advisor). 6. If you receive financial aid, photocopy your Award Summary (available on Titan Online). 7. Obtain one current official transcript from Admissions and Records. 8. Submit 4 stapled sets (one set of original documents and 3 photocopied sets) of the items below to the Study Abroad Office by the due date and time in the following order: A completed scholarship application Your scholarship essay 2 x reference forms Study abroad program budget Financial aid award summary (if applicable) Transcripts from your most recent school attended You may open sealed transcripts and recommendation letters in order to make copies. Your 4 sets must be submitted in the order specified. Incomplete application will not be considered. ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA FOR THE CSUF AMBASSADOR OF INTERNATIONAL 1. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 2. Candidate should be a full time, degree seeking students at CSUF 3. Selection of scholarship recipients will be based of review of the candidate’s application 4. Scholarship application will be reviewed until the student has submitted a complete application to a study abroad program or exchange 5. Scholarship applications for the Fall semester, Summer and Academic year are due on March 1st by 4:00 p.m. Scholarship application for the Spring semester are due on October 1st by 4:00 p.m. Awards will be made in May and December respectively 6. Scholarship recipients will be required to assist the CSUF study abroad office in promoting study abroad opportunities following their return.
