RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AFTER THE 10 A.M. MASS FOR GRADES
1-6, AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR GRADES 7-12 AT 7:30 P.M.
Presbyterate days takes place Sept. 29-30 & Oct. 1st in Jamestown with
Fr. Laframboise and the other priests of the diocese attending. This is a
yearly event that involves education, fellowship, various meetings, and a
meeting with the Bishop. There will be no Masses for these days. Please
contact Fr. Laframboise via cell phone if needed at 701-771-2157.
“Discernment of Spirits”
Class will be right after 10 am mass in the St Boniface room and will be
offered again at 7:30 pm Sunday evening. Those attending are asked to
commit to praying ½ hour each day and be open to sharing with one
another. It’s not too late to join. If you have questions or are interested,

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) classes will begin this fall

Women’s Retreat
Please pray for those who have said “Yes” to the silent retreat here at St.
Philip Neri on Sept 27-29th. These retreats are very powerful means of
listening to God in our prayer and can do amazing things for our spiritual
life. It's like taking a vacation with God. A personal quote from one of the
past participants when asked about her experience - “ I don’t see how
anyone could say anything less than AMAZING!” There are still
openings, so please let Fr. Laframboise or Lori Gross know asap.

A special feature will be shown Tuesday evening, Oct. 1st at 7:30 pm,
after the evening mass in the Holy Family Hall. A DVD entitled
“Embracing who God Intends You to be” will be shown. Deena BurnettBailey, author of “Fighting Back, a book that inspired the movie Portrait
of Courage: The Untold Story of Flight 93 shares reflections on the
spiritual process of Ministry of Mothers Sharing and her journey toward
finding meaning amidst the tragedy that thrust her - a young woman
raising three daughters - into the national spotlight when her husband, Tom
Burnett, helped bring down Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. All
parishioners are invited to attend. Come be inspired!
2013 Sr High Youth Celebration
Theme - “The Word was made Flesh and dwelt amongst us” John 1:14

Wahpeton, ND. Keynote speaker - Ennie Hickman,Steubenville Youth
Conference Speaker. There will be a pizza party for the largest parish in
attendance!!! Come on St. Philip Neri, let’s show’em what we got!! Check

Youth Pilgrimage for Life to Washington D.C.
Youth in grades 9-12 are encouraged to participate in the 41st annual
March for Life to end abortion in Washington D.C., Jan. 22, 2014. The 6day Diocesan pilgrimage is an extraordinary experience. Fr. Laframboise
has helped lead the pilgrimage in years past and can testify to how great
the trip is. The cost for at least two St. Philip Neri youth is being assisted
by the Knights of Columbus, the Christian Mothers, and the parish. The
remaining cost to you would be $300. If this is too great a financial
burden, please talk to Fr. Laframboise. The cost is all-inclusive covering
the airplane ticket, food, and other fees. See Fr. Laframboise for an
application .The initial application deadline is October 18. In 2012 the
Christian Mothers and the Knights of Columbus each gave $400 to the
youth that went. Since 4 went, each child got $100 from each
organization. This was for the trip in 2013.
40 Days for Life North Dakota: Fall campaign - Sept. 25 to Nov. 3
40 Days for Life North Dakota will kick off its fall campaign with an
opening prayer service on Wed., Sept. 25, 9 a.m., at the state’s only
abortion facility, 512 1st Ave. No. in Fargo. The 40 Days for Life
campaign is a three-fold effort of prayer – fasting – peaceful vigil that is
being conducted globally – the largest coordinated pro-life mobilization in
