Introduction
Pediatric nursing department considered as one of the
important scientific departments which present excellent learning
through student support with knowledge, behavioral and intellectual
skills in the field of pediatric nursing in order to enable the students
to provide a high quality of care for children in all age groups in
different pediatric setting.
Vision
Vision of Pediatric nursing dept is to qualify candidate with
the most advanced, comprehensive and safest nursing management
for children in all age groups in different pediatric setting.
Mission
The mission of the pediatric nursing department is to promote
practice, and knowledge of the candidates. The candidates will be
able to provide the highest quality family centered care, improve the
children health through appropriate nursing intervention and
education with in and out- patient departments in order to provide a
qualified graduate with all requirements of the field marketing.

1- Overall aims of course:
The course provides the theory and practice essential for development
of student's skills in caring for normal and sick children with emphasis on
growth and development of children from infancy through adolescence and
on their health promotion.

a1. Understand the basic concepts related to the care of normal and sick
children.
a2. Identifies the needs of children from infancy to adolescence.
a3. Recognize the most common health problems of children at different age
groups and their nursing care.
