COLAS® Axle Control Valve

Precision Response (PR) Height Control Valve offers technology and
modularity to decrease installation time and survive the toughest

As the industries technology has advanced, vehicle systems have
become even more complex. The use of lift axles and the need for
variable deck heights has created complex systems with many
components, fittings and potential leak paths. Haldex offers the
ILAS III® lift axle valve and COLAS® Raise Lower valve to simplify
these systems.
The ILAS III and COLAS offer more than just the function of raising
and lowering of a lift axle or deck of a trailer. These valves offer an
automatic feature unique to each valve. The ILAS III can
automatically lower and raise lift axles without operator
intervention. The COLAS can automatically reset deck height to the
normal ride height of the trailer without operator intervention.
These features are what add value, reduce time and increase
profitability for your company.
The optional automatic reset feature for the
COLAS Valve is used in static conditions. When the
emergency brakes on the trailer are engaged the COLAS
can then be used to raise and lower the deck height of the trailer. When the
emergency brakes are released, the handle pops out and automatically
returns to normal ride height. This feature eliminates the dependance of the
operator to reset the valve to normal ride height.

axles by sensing a load through the primary air
suspension. Manual and Fully Automatic versions are
available. Both versions offer an adjustable pressure
range to meet any lift axle application. The Manual
