Salary Range:
$68,330 to $71,630 annually (pro rata). Hourly rate $34.58 to $36.25. Salary
packaging available. Conditions of employment are as per the Employee
Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
Hours of Work:
Normal hours of work are between 9am and 5.06pm Monday to Friday.
Some additional out of hours work may be required. The position will work
within the Goldfields Shire, based in Maryborough. Travel throughout the
region will be required

POSITION DETAILS
Position Background
This position is funded as a part of the Go Goldfields Initiative. It will be managed within the Centre for
Non-Violence (CNV), working collaboratively with the Go Goldfields Project team. The tasks will be
informed by the Go Goldfields Collaborative Table and the Family Violence Action Group within a
Collective Impact approach. The successful applicant will be expected to work within teams over two
sites in Bendigo and Maryborough, as part of the CNV Prevention and Development team and within
the Go Goldfields team.
Go Goldfields is how we work together to deliver locally relevant solutions to social issues affecting
children, youth and families within the Central Goldfields Shire.
The current phase of Go Goldfields (2015-2017) has been funded by the Victorian State Government
($2,000,000), Central Goldfields Shire Council ($420,000), Ten 20 ($300,000 plus $150,000 in-kind)
and Best Start ($300,000). This is the second three year phase of implementation of the project.

Go Goldfields uses a Collective Impact approach to improve social outcomes in the areas of:

To this end the service system is working with government funders, business and community leaders
and people with lived experience to build an aspiring and achieving community where people live a
full life.
Go Goldfields has facilitator roles that have a generic focus on implementing community change
within a Collective Impact approach. Each of these roles has a portfolio allowing a focus on specific
community outcomes whilst working to support the whole of the initiative. This positon is focused on
the family violence area.
Organisational Context
This 0.8 position will be managed and work with CNV over two sites, working extensively within the
Central Goldfields Shire Council. Work will be informed by the Go Goldfields Collaborative Table
(overall strategy) and the Family Violence Action Group (implementation oversight). The successful
applicant will work closely with CNV, Go Goldfields team members and other community and service
system stakeholders.
Position Objectives
The Go Goldfields Facilitator - Family Violence will drive the implementation of our work against the
common agenda statement:
Family Violence is unacceptable in our community
Everyone lives equally, safe and free from all forms of violence
Although currently being finalised the key outcomes areas identified to deliver against the above
statement are:
• The community hears, believes and supports women and children experiencing family
violence
• Women are treated equally and respectfully, their expertise is valued and sought, and they
are actively engaged in public life
• The community takes an informed and active role in preventing, addressing and responding to
family violence
• Family violence offenders are held accountable, the community understands the impacts of
family violence and takes action to improve services and supports
To achieve this the successful applicant will work with all stakeholders to build collaboration by
assisting communication that helps people work better together, focus on embedding ongoing
ownership, maximise momentum, build alignment of ideas, purpose and mutually reinforcing activities
towards delivering improved outcomes for women and children experiencing family violence.

Pre-Employment Checks

Pre-Existing Medical Condition Check
Under Victorian WorkCover legislation, it is the applicant’s duty to advise CNV of any pre-existing

Probation Period
The position is subject to a 6 month probation period during which time you will receive advice and
guidance to help you become familiar with and competent in performing the requirements of the
position. During this period, either party can terminate employment with one week's notice. A
probationary review before 6 months will be undertaken.

ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION
The Centre for Non-Violence Inc. (CNV) was established in 1990 and has worked for more than two
decades in the provision of support services for women and children experiencing family violence
and at risk of homelessness. Since that time, our service has grown and we deliver a range of
services for women and children experiencing f a m i l y violence; programs for men who use
violence towards women and children, including men’s behaviour change programs, enhanced
intake and case management; a young women’s housing program for young women aged 15 to 25
who are pregnant and/or parenting and at risk or experiencing homelessness.
CNV also auspices the positions of the Loddon Campaspe Family Violence Regional Integration Coordinator and the Loddon Mallee Homelessness Network Coordinator.
CNV is active in violence prevention, community education and engagement activities and initiatives,
including our multi-award-winning program “Solving the Jigsaw”, widely known for its work with schools
and communities to eliminate bullying, violence and abuse, by building cultures of well-being with in
schools and working with parents, teachers, children and young people.
CNV is also the lead agency for the Loddon Campaspe Integrated Family Violence Consortium that is
funded to deliver the full suite of services for women and children experiencing family violence,
and programs for men who use violence towards family members.

Operations.
Our Client Services Division delivers a range of programs to the community including domestic
violence outreach services for women and children experiencing family violence and/or homelessness;
counselling for women and children experiencing family violence; young women’s housing programs;
alcohol and other drugs supported accommodation program; programs for men who use violence
towards family members including men’s behaviour change, enhanced intake and case management.

Work teams within the Client Services Division are called pods. Pods are small integrated teams of
workers with representation of our various client programs including those supporting men, women
and children. Pods work with clients from intake to closure using a key worker model.
Our Prevention & Development Division provides a range of community engagement, research,
advocacy and prevention programs including the auspice of the Loddon Campaspe Family Violence
Regional Integration Co-ordinator; the Loddon Mallee Homelessness Network Coordinator including
the regional Children’s Resource Worker program; and our Solving the Jigsaw program.
Solving the Jigsaw reaches schools and communities through nationally accredited training and the
delivery of long-term violence prevention classroom based programs in schools. Solving The Jigsaw
aims to change the culture of violence, bullying and abuse in the community and works towards
creating a culture of wellbeing for children and young people.
Our Operations Division is responsible for all of our human resources, asset and financial
management, OHS, quality assurance and administrative support to the organisation.
