Graduate Student Program/Specialization Declaration
This form must be completed by graduate students declaring or requesting to change their degree
program and/or specialization. Students must submit the completed form to their home location’s
appropriate academic administrator for approval. Program changes submitted before Tuesday of Week 1
become effective that session. If the request is received after Tuesday of Week 1, the program change
becomes effective for the subsequent session. Students must ensure that they are enrolled in courses that
apply to their active program for the current session.
Graduate students can declare enrollment in a maximum of two (2) degree programs at any given time.
Students opting to pursue multiple degrees must meet all program core and program specific course
requirements for each degree and the semester credit hour residency requirements outlined in the chart to
the right.
All students in programs offering specializations must declare a specialization prior to graduation.
Students who previously declared a General Studies concentration and wish to change to a focused
concentration must indicate that they wish to remove the General Studies concentration.
