Course Description:
The D3 Youth Conference is designed to develop students’ understanding of leadership,
worldview, and missions and equip them in these areas. Students structure their own conference
experience by selecting one of three focus tracks: Leadership, Missions, or Worldview. The D3
Worldview Track Elective partners with the Worldview Focus Track and is made to enhance
what students learn at the D3 conference. Students who complete the course will earn 3 hours of
elective course credit at Boyce College.
Course Outcomes:
1. Students will analyze the critical components of a Christian worldview centered around the
meta-narrative of Scripture: creation, fall, redemption and glorification.
2. Students will understand the essential categories for analyzing competing worldviews with an
emphasis given to comparing and contrasting Theism and Atheism.
3. Students will explore principles for effective evangelism with unbelievers as an application of
apologetics.
Required Text:
Students taking the D3 Worldview Track Elective will be required to read The Universe Next
Door by James W. Sire. Students will not need to purchase this book as they will receive a free
