The Living-Learning Communities (LLC) in the Sandhu Residence

The Living-Learning Communities (LLC) in the Sandhu Residence Center holistically engage students with common
interests and academic endeavors in experiences that take learning beyond the classroom. Each community has a
specialized focus around which workshops, discussions, local outings, and socials are centered. The LLCs offer students
specially designed educational programs, as well as the opportunity to build community with their peers.
The LLCs are available for continuing students in the Sandhu Residence Center, which houses traditional residence hall
rooms as well as residence hall suites. Some LLCs will be comprised solely of traditional residence hall rooms while
others will be comprised of a mixture of traditional residence hall rooms and residence hall suites. Please review the
room configurations for Sandhu Residence Center for more information on the floor layouts. PLEASE NOTE: Any
student going through Panther Housing Selection is eligible to sign into a Living Learning Community!
Exploring Humanity & Society

The Exploring Humanity & Society community is open to students of all majors who are invested in share their passion
for culture, language, history, politics, philosophy and literature with others in an interdisciplinary floor. Committed to
scholarship and the possibility of transforming knowledge into action, members of the community will participate in outof-the-box explorations into how individuals shape and are shaped by society throughout time. The community aims to
foster a space where students can build connections with students across disciplines to contribute to the common good.

The Individual & Global Wellness community is open to students interested in learning more about healthy lifestyles
individually and as part of a sustainable global community. The community consists of students ranging in experience
with environmental causes and health topics. Through both shared and varied experiences and viewpoints, members of
the community will contribute to a space where all can learn more about living green. The community aims to foster
awareness of global health issues starting with the individual and expanding to local, state, national, and international
interests.

The Intersections & Diversity of Experience community is open to students of all majors, background and identities who
share a vested interest in addressing social, political and economic injustices by exploring new ideas and active
community solutions. Community members will learn more about themselves and develop deeper connections with
their peers through meaningful discussions about culture and their many intersecting identities. The community aims to
develop a safe space to fully consider different life experiences and points of view and to learn to live in a diverse global
society. One of its main goals is to influence positive change within the larger Chapman community.
