‫בעשורים האחרונים הפך חקר הגוף האנושי לחלק בלתי נפרד ממדעי החברה‪ .‬התפתחות זו מבוססת על‬
‫הכרה בחשיבותו של הגוף ביחסים חברתיים )למשל תפקיד הגוף במנגנוני שליטה וכח פוליטי וסימבולי(‪,‬‬
‫בתהליכי כינונן של זהויות אינדיבידואליות וקולקטיביות‪ ,‬בתהליכים מקרו‪-‬היסטוריים של שינוי חברתי‬
‫ותרבותי‪ ,‬ועוד‪ .‬הגוף הוא‪ ,‬בו‪-‬זמנית‪ ,‬מדיום דרכו אנו מבינים וחווים את העולם‪ ,‬כלי מרכזי באינטראקציה‬
‫חברתית‪ ,‬וציר סימבולי רב‪-‬עוצמה בהבניית 'המובן מאליו' הפוליטי )‪ .(body politic‬מטרותיו של קורס‬
‫זה הן‪ :‬להציג את ההתפתחויות המרכזיות בתחום הסוציולוגיה והאנתרופולוגיה של הגוף‪ ,‬את המושגים‬
‫המרכזיים בתחום זה ואת נקודות ההשקה והמחלוקת בין הוגים שונים ולדון בתופעות חברתיות שונות‬
‫באמצעות הכלים האנליטיים של הסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה של הגוף‪ .‬בחלקו הראשון של הקורס נעיין‬
‫בטקסטים קלאסיים על גוף‪ ,‬חברה ותרבות )נורברט אליאס‪ ,‬מרי דאגלס‪ ,‬מרלו‪-‬פונטי‪ ,‬ארווין גופמן‪ ,‬פייר‬
‫בורדייה‪ ,‬ומישל פוקו‪ ,‬ג'ודית באטלר‪ ,‬איריס יאנג ואחרים(‪ .‬בחלקו השני של הקורס נדון בתופעות כגון‬
‫ניתוחים פלאסטיים בחברת השפע‪ ,‬קעקועים בהקשרים תרבותיים שונים‪ ,‬פרפורמטיביות גופנית‪ ,‬עונג‬
‫והגוף הקרנבליסטי‪ ,‬הגוף המודרניסטי הממושמע‪ ,‬תרבות הדיאטות‪ ,‬פתולוגיות גופניות‪ ,‬ועוד‪.‬‬

‫• נוכחות והשתתפות בשיעורים )חובת נוכחות ב ‪ 80%‬מהשיעורים לפחות(‬
‫• קריאה שוטפת של פריטי החובה )הממוספרים(‬
‫• ציון עובר בבחינה מסכמת‪ .‬הבחינה מבוססת על חומר הקריאה )‪ (30%‬וחומר ההרצאה )‪(70%‬‬
