MISSION BOXES NOW

World Changers Offering.
Each year we take an offering towards Missions and Outreach. As you will see in the ATM
reports we spent more than we had come in through the offering in the last year. The
offering supplements the budget, not caps it, but this does enable us to do more. We send
monthly support to various people as well as planning missions trips, local outreach and
events. This year we need a really bumper offering as we are planning a trip to John and
Rachel McDonough in Paraguay to administer vaccines and do health checks for the village
they are working in - we have to purchase the drugs and the costs of these may fluctuate
depending on the feeling of their Government on the day! So help us help them by giving
this year. We try not to ask for more missions money - one offering to change the world!
This will be taken on Sunday 3rd April, plenty of time to pray and seek God for how much
we should give.
LUNCHEON CLUB.
We desperately need a volunteer to co-ordinate the weekly Luncheon Club for our most
senior citizens. The role includes organising a rota of volunteers, liaising with the nursery
manager on menus and covers, keeping records of payments and most importantly making
the elderly in the Church feel welcome. Please see one of the Pastors if you think you can
help. Thank you.
CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION - SUN 21st FEB 2016
Please join us for our Chinese New Year celebration which will be in both Chinese and
English!
Celebration starts at 2.30pm and ends at 5.00pm.
Food will be served at 3.30pm.
Adults £7.00, children under 12 and over 3 £3.00 and under 3’s free.

JOHN & RACHEL McDONOUGH - SUNDAY 3rd APRIL 6.30pm
John and Rachel McDonough, Elim’s Missionaries in Paraguay will be in the UK and speaking
at Life Church on Sunday 3rd April at 6.30pm. Please come along to hear the latest news on
the amazing work they do in Paraguay.
FUTURE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT ELECTED
Following nomination by Elim’s National Leadership Team and a subsequent postal ballot
by the Elim Conference, Chris Cartwright has been elected to lead the Movement as
General Superintendent. He will assume his role at the forthcoming Elim Leaders Summit in
May.
Chris began his ministry in the late 1980’s at Kensington Temple
where he was respectively Worship Pastor, Director of the IBIOL
(International Bible Institute of London) and Associate Minister.
He was ordained in 1993. In 1997, Chris became the senior pastor
of the City Temple in Cardiff and in 2010 he became the Regional
Leader for Wales and the Southern Region. He is married to Annie
and they have three children.
Current General Superintendent, John Glass, commenting on the
election said, “Chris is a high integrity spiritual leader, and he and
Annie can be assured of my continual prayers, warmest wishes and
fullest support as they seek to take Elim in everything that God has
for our Movement in the years that lie ahead”.
The Food Bank Needs Replenishing!
If anyone would like to donate food for the food Bank it is much appreciated. Suggested
items are tinned meat/pies, dried pasta/rice, tinned fruit/veg, long-life milk/tea bags.
