He is an expert in building applicant screening, right-fit hiring and drug-free workplace programs for all industries. By night, Dan is a police sergeant and FBI-trained hostage negotiator. He translates the same concepts and skills he uses as a negotiator into techniques for leaders in today's fast-paced business environment. January 12 — Jim Sud — Executive Vice President, Growth and Development — Whole Foods Market Topic: The Whole Story Jim Sud will discuss the history, mission and core values of Whole Foods Market, along with the reason that Wichita was chosen for a new store. Sud is the executive vice president of Growth and Business Development of Whole Foods Market. His responsibilities include all areas related to the growth of the company including real estate, mergers and acquisitions and business development. Sud was a founding shareholder in Whole Foods Market and served on it’s board of directors from inception to April,1997, when he joined the company’s senior leadership team. He is currently a member of the company’s executive and global leadership teams. Sud received his BBA from the University of Texas in 1975. Born in Houston, he currently resides in Austin with his wife Lecia, who is from Wichita. They have twin sons and a daughter.
