Team Amor
Our original team was just my husband and me. Now, 4 years later, we’ve grown to 56
competitors, 53 females and 3 males. Thirteen of our ladies competed in their first figure or
bikini competition this year. Twelve placed top 5 and one won her pro card in bikini. Our
goal is to teach each client how to look their very best on competition day.
Everyone on our team uses Beverly to maintain muscle, lose body fat and enhance our
energy levels. Team favorites are UMP and Lean Out. We’ve developed a ton of recipes, my
current favorite is Cheesecake Pudding!
"Cheesecake Pudding"
1 scoop Beverly’s UMP (any flavor)
½ cup non-fat or low fat cottage cheese
1/3-1/2 package of sugar free Jell-O Cheesecake pudding mix
Water to desired consistency
Stevia to desired sweetness
After mixing, place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
You can also add blackberry or strawberry Smucker’s
sugar free jelly, Enjoy!!
Note from Sandy: When I tried this recipe, I had trouble finding the sugar free Cheesecake pudding mix in the store.
I ordered a case from Amazon. Since I had way too many on hand, I sent Adele a bag full of the mix as a thank you!!!
It was a pleasure to share!!! It is truly a delightful concoction!!

EASY DESSERT:
By Joe Schratt
1.5 scoops vanilla UMP. Add enough water to
make a pudding. Add 2 small crushed Nilla
wafers and chop 1/4 banana. Place on top of the
UMP pudding and enjoy!

2. Why hasn't your company offered a protein bar that can
be eaten any time, any place?
A. We have tried many different options over the years. A
perfect harmonious mixture of nutrients, calories, taste and
protein blend has not been found. It must meet our BI Standards. We will continue to work on this. We feel it would be
a great additive to the line.

3. What products are on the safe list to use while pregnant
or breastfeeding?

A. We suggest conferring all questions concerning supplementation with your OBGYN. From what we have seen,
UMP and MP have been recommended. Always check first.
Marco Wall sent me an amazing story. I’ve seen Marco in
competition and never dreamed
that he had a 44 inch waist and
weighed nearly 300lbs just a few
years ago. After much study and
experimentation, Marco hit on a
fat loss scheme that worked great
for him, “I planned out my days
as follows: 3-4 whole food meals
(lean protein, green veggies, and
complex carbs) and 2 UMP shakes
each day. … Because I was so big,
I found it difficult to work out like
I had throughout high school, and
I had to ease back into things. My plan of attack was to buy a
pedometer and made a goal of 10,000 steps or more each day.
My increased activity level coupled with my diet changes kept
me consistently (and quickly) losing weight.” Marco now weighs
in for competition in 170 lb range and looks great. He also has

4. What happens if I get a product that has a manufacturing
date on it but no EXP date?
A. You simply add 2 years to the manufacturing date. This
is considered the BEST USED BY date.
5. Is it ok to take 7-Keto and Fast Up together at the same
time?
A. It’s ok to take them both during the same day, just not at
the same time… Make note: Due to the amount of caffeine
in both products, we suggest not taking them together. Better to wait a few hours in between each product dose. Example: take 2 or 3 7–Keto Musclean at 7:00 am, wait at least
3 hours (10:00 am or later) before taking 1or 2 Fast UP.

I spoke with Mike a few weeks ago when he called in to place his
order. I asked him a few questions just to see how he incorporates BI
in and out of his gym life. He has used BEVERLY for many years and
routinely recommends BI to his clients for whom he designs what many
of us are looking for… “The perfect personalized program.” Let’s read
on and see what Mike has to say…
“I have been using Beverly for many years. Interesting note: way
back (and I mean way back!) I was first introduced to Beverly products
in college. I continued to use Beverly while competing in the IFBB. When
your livelihood depends on putting only quality products in your body,
you need to use the ones you know work. A good friend of mine, Dr.
Eric Serrano, always touted the quality of the ingredients in Beverly’s
supplements, and I obviously wanted and needed the absolute best.
Later, I connected with Roger and Sandy when my wife and I were
exploring the possibility of creating our own protein powder. Some
would see this as a threat, but Roger and Sandy took the time out of
their crazy schedules to sit down with us and explain the pros and cons
of the supplement industry. We continued to stay in touch over the
years, and are truly grateful for our relationship with them to this day.
Now that I am retired from competitive bodybuilding, I still want to
stay in shape and be healthy, so Beverly is still a big part of my daily routine. Glutamine Select plus BCAAs and UMP are two of my favorites.
I need the glutamine and BCAAs for recovery, especially as I get older
and UMP is a great supplement to keep my protein intake high each day.
Here's how I personally use UMP and advise my clients to use it as
well. I mix at least 2 and often 3 scoops with my oatmeal each morning.
I tell my clients that even if they’ve never liked oatmeal, they will now!
UMP is also good to use anytime through the day as a meal (with fruit
and almond milk) or as a ‘between meal calorie and protein enhancer’.
A lot of people get that hungry feeling mid to late morning and or afternoon, and UMP is the perfect stop gap measure. If you are watching
carbs mix your favorite flavor of UMP with almond milk
or water. If you are not worried about a few extra carbs,
add a banana or some berries to your UMP shake for a
great tasting high quality treat!

Carl Hill
Carl Hill, from Tuscaloosa, AL made an amazing comeback after tearing his
elbow ligaments – not once – but twice in 12 weeks. Carl said, “I was feeling
great as I slowly rehabbed my elbow from the first tear. I decided it was time
to test my bench. The weight was light, rep 1, rep 2, rep 3. ‘This is alright,’ I
thought. Rep 4, rep 5, rep 6… rep 9; finally, my strength was returning! Then
the sound no lifter wants to hear – POP. I knew instantly; my elbow was torn
again. A return trip to my orthopedic doctor resulted in immediate surgery.”
Competition plans for the year went out the window, or did they?
Carl postponed his competition plans from June to August, targeting the
Heart of Dixie contest (just 7 months after his surgery). I’ll let Carl pick up his
story again, “I supplemented my diet with all things Beverly: Ultimate Muscle
Protein (UMP), Creatine Select, Muscularity, GH-Factor, Muscle Synergy,
Density, Joint-Care, 7-Keto, and Lean Out. At first I was discouraged by how
small my surgically repaired arm was, but I kept on taking my supplements and
I kept on training. Effort multiplied by time equals reward and it paid off! That
August I won 1st place in the Master’s Division, 1st place in the Master’s Overall, 1st place in Jr Middleweight, and Jr Division Overall. I thank God for giving
me strength, my family and friends for their support, and the wonderful team

Most recently I placed 1st in the Master’s Division at the 2012 Alabama State.

“Sandy, I burned about 6000cal
yesterday and thousands more while
training, BUT I have eaten more carbohydrates in the last 6months than
I have in the last 6years. My body is
in carbo shock! Before the race I ate
kashi, bananas, and ½ bagel. During
the race at various intervals I had
Gatorade gel blocks, Power Bars,
peanut butter and honey sandwiches,
½ turkey wrap, a Coke (my first in
years), and Gatorade. Last night I
had a beer and a pretzel sandwich
before bed.
My supplement intake for the
race was similar to that during my
training over the past 6 months: Ultra
40, Density, Energy Reserve, Fit Tab,
EFA Gold, and Joint Care with my
pre-race meal and again 4 hours into
the race. I also took Glutamine Select
once or twice every day and UMP at
least once each day. I'll be keeping
it going....I qualified and will be running the Pike's Peak Ascent in August
- 14miles up to the top of 14,000ft.”

Roger and I resigned our positions with the NPC this year and
have decided to make the 2013
Northern our final contest promotion. After 30 + years, the legacy left behind is unforgettable. We sincerely thank ALL of our Team members, past and present! Those who
worked with us over the years gave unwavering support, time and dedication to Beverly and to our ever-changing sport. It’s been a great
ride!! In life, nothing stays the same. Adaptation is necessary!!
