Curriculum Frameworks
• Basis for everything we do!
• Found at www.arkansased.org - under curriculum
frameworks
• If there are no curriculum frameworks for a course that
your district/school wishes to count towards the
required 22 units, you should submit a course approval
• Courses that fall under the umbrella of ACE, concurrent
credit, AP, IB, EAST, etc., do not require individual
course approval, but may require program approval
• Local credit only explanation
• Implementations and revisions
Course Approvals
• All course approvals due May 1 prior to
implementation of course
• Courses without a framework, not AP, not IB,
not concurrent credit, need course approval
• Course approvals not retroactive
• Be attentive to course codes starting with a 5
Course Code Management System
