Individual courses will not transfer, so a student must take all 4 classes at CCC to receive credit for the introductory ECE series. ^Portland State University requires that each transfer student (transferring with a minimum of 90 credits) take a minimum of 27 credits in arts & letters or social sciences, representing a breadth of coursework. The communication and writing courses count toward the requirement. Please see: http://pdx.edu/sites/www.pdx.edu.cecs/files/AL-SS_Approved%205_20_2011.pdf for complete information about the courses acceptable for these general education requirements. For more information on the requirements at Portland State University, please visit http://www.pdx.edu/cecs/departments-and-programs. For a complete listing of courses that will transfer to Portland State University, please see: https://www.transfer.org/uselect/. Please refer to the PSU advising page for additional information about degree requirements and transfer information: http://www.pdx.edu/cecs/undergraduate-advising-and-support-center. A.S. degree Completion of all of the classes listed in the first two years of study on this template will result in the awarding of an A.S. degree in Engineering. Students must file a petition to graduate at CCC two terms before they graduate (e.g. apply in winter term for graduation at the end of the spring quarter): http://www.clackamas.edu/Academic_Evaluation.aspx. Professional Program Courses highlighted in green are the minimum requirements for entry into the professional program. However, students who do not complete all of the listed requirements for the first two years before transfer will likely be delayed from graduation due to pre-requisite requirements for future upper division classes. There are minimum GPA requirements for entry into the professional program, including a minimum GPA of 2.33 for all engineering and computer science courses. However, if there are too many students who apply to the program, minimum GPA requirements may be higher. Important deadlines Dec. 1—Apply for admission into Portland State University (http://www.pdx.edu/admissions/undergraduate-applicant) Feb. 1—Apply for scholarships at Portland State University (http://www.pdx.edu/scholarships/home) April 10—Apply to MECOP program if you are interested in a built-in 1 year (split in two parts) paid internship during the completion of your degree. Please see: https://www.mecopinc.org/about.php for more info. Application is available at https://www.mecopinc.org/apply.php. April 15—Apply to enter the professional program (http://www.pdx.edu/ece/admissions-process) Note that a co-admission program is highly recommended for this major, especially for the second year, in which classes would be taken at both Clackamas and PSU. In order to apply for co-admission to PSU, it is recommended that you start the application process in the winter term of the first year. If you are on financial aid, under co-admission, you can be counted as a full time student as long as you take a minimum of 12 credits between the two schools that you are enrolled in. You must inform financial aid of your co-admission (the admissions office will not do this automatically).
