Ruffin Retires http://www.hospitalresearch.com.a Nov 22, 2013 Professor Richard Ruffin has retired from The Hospital Research Foundation recently after more than 15 years on the Board of Directors. The Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Adelaide had spent more than 20 years working as a Respiratory Physician at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Lyell McEwin Health Service, after 12 years at Flinders Medical Centre. He continues to participate in projects such as a population study of risk factors for chronic disease and the role of zinc in asthma. THRF would like to welcome two new board members, firstly Dr Stephen Rodda, Chief Executive of ITEK, the technology commercialisation arm of the University of South Australia and John Woodward, a senior technology executive at SA Health.
