SALUTATION
PRAYER OF THE DAY
Gracious God,
you show forth your almighty power chiefly by reaching out to us in mercy. Grant us the
fullness of your grace, strengthen our trust in your promises, and bring all the world to share
in the treasures that come through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
A TIME WITH CHILDREN
Word
God speaks to us in scripture reading, preaching, and song.
PSALM 96 (from T he M essage paraphrase of Scripture)
Please read responsively
Sing GOD a brand-new song! Earth and everyone in it, sing! Sing to GOD—worship GOD!
Shout the news of his victory from sea to sea, Take the news of his glory to the lost, News of his wonders to
one and all!
For GOD is great, and worth a thousand Hallelujahs. His terrible beauty makes the gods look cheap; Pagan gods are
mere tatters and rags.
GOD made the heavens— Royal splendor radiates from him, A powerful beauty sets him apart.
Bravo, GOD, Bravo! Everyone join in the great shout: Encore! In awe before the beauty, in awe before the might.
Bring gifts and celebrate, Bow before the beauty of GOD, Then to your knees—everyone worship!
Get out the message—GOD Rules! He put the world on a firm foundation; He treats everyone fair and square.
Let’s hear it from Sky, With Earth joining in, And a huge round of applause from Sea.
Let Wilderness turn cartwheels, Animals, come dance, Put every tree of the forest in the choir—
An extravaganza before GOD as he comes, As he comes to set everything right on earth, Set everything right,
treat everyone fair.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin

the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he
will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

FOR YOU!
We all go through times in our life when we could benefit from
a little extra care and attention. That’s what Stephen Ministers
are for. Stephen Ministers are members of GSLC who have
been trained to provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian
care to people who are going through a difficult time. They will
listen, care, encourage, pray with and for you, and provide
weekly support for you as long as your need persists. If you
would like to learn more about Stephen Ministry, talk with one
of our Stephen Leaders Toni Daede, Mark Kamphuis, Claire
Lorinser, Janine Haug, Beverly Sandness, or Pastor Pam.
Our Stephen Ministers are ready to bring God’s love and care
into your life.
