COURSE SELECTION GUIDE
Subject Choice for Year 11 2016
Please refer to the Course Selection booklet for information on courses and the Career Education Pathways Booklet for
information on entry into tertiary study and career pathways.
For each section follow the instructions.
SUBJECT CHOICE 1:
ENGLISH is compulsory in Year 11. In subject choice 1 choose either 11ENG, 11ENF or 11ESOL.
(Please note that your ESOL teacher will place you in the appropriate ESOL class best suited to your
English language ability).
SUBJECT CHOICE 2:
Mathematics is compulsory in Year 11. In subject choice 2 choose either 11MTH, 11MTC or 11MTF.
(Your maths teacher will have discussed with you the course most suited to your needs.)
SUBJECT CHOICE 3:
Science is compulsory in Year 11. In subject choice 3 you must choose one of the following Sciences
choices:

A combination of 2 science courses

A combination of 4 Science courses

Human Biology

Environmental Studies.
(Note: If you have chosen a combination of 4 Science courses do not choose SUBJECT CHOICE 6)

5 & 6:
You may choose up to three other subjects. Place these subject choices in subject choice 4, 5
and 6.
Before you complete the online course selection please ensure that you have looked at pages 7-8 of your Course Selection
Booklet and checked your possible Year 12 subjects.
