Every day EXCEPT May 7- Providence United Methodist Church 2810 Providence Rd Charlotte NC 28211.
It is at the corner of Providence Road and Sharon Lane. DO NOT enter off Sharon Lane. Enter the parking lot
from Ferncliff Road, which intersects with Providence Road. Park in the LOWER parking lot, which is to the
immediate right when entering from Ferncliff. Follow the signs for parking and to the testing room.
May 7 ONLY- Myers Park Presbyterian Church Welcome Center 2501 Oxford Pl. Charlotte, NC 28207.
You will park at the Myers Park Presbyterian Church Outreach Center, which is across from the church on
Providence Rd. If you are using MapQuest, search for 1073 Providence Rd. Charlotte NC, 28207.
From school- Take Colony to Selwyn Ave. Turn right. Continue past Queens University (on left) and Myers
Park Baptist Church (on right). At the traffic light past Queens University and Myers Park Baptist, Selwyn
becomes Queens Road. Continue on Queens Road and turn right on Providence Rd. Just past the Wells Fargo
Bank, turn left into the Myers Park Presbyterian Outreach Center Parking Lot 1073 Providence Rd.
From the South on Providence Rd- Pass Scotland Ave, Pass Colville Rd, Pass Cherokee Rd. Just past
Cherokee Rd, turn right into the Myers Park Presbyterian Outreach Center Parking Lot 1073 Providence Rd.
If you pass Wells Fargo Bank, you have gone too far! You will cross Providence Road to get to the church
Welcome Center. A police officer will help you at the crosswalk.
Materials Students Must Bring to IB Exams: May 2013
It is YOUR responsibility to bring the items listed next to each exam. If you think you need a ruler bring it!
Since the tests are sealed, we have no way of knowing if a question or problem will require you to draw a graph.
When we list that you will need a ruler, it is only our educated guess!
We only list what you must bring. We will provide case studies, data booklets, Latin dictionary, pencils, etc.

IB Exam Rules: May 2013
1. Exams begin at 8:00 am (morning) and 1:00 pm (afternoon). Students must arrive 15 minutes before the
exam begins. Late arrivers DO NOT receive extended time.
2. What students MUST bring to the exams:
Two black pens (correcting fluid/pens are not permitted).
Highlighters for planning on certain exams (e.g. English)
A calculator (if required) and extra batteries. The calculator must be an approved model!
IB Business, all IB science courses, and all IB math courses require a calculator.
Students may not use a calculator on Math HL paper 1 and Math Methods SL paper 1.
A ruler or protractor for some exams (e.g. math). If you are in doubt, bring a ruler!
Please refer to the document: “Materials Students Must Bring to IB Exams.”
Anything else a teacher tells students to bring. Dr. Thomas will determine if it is permissible!
3. What the school will provide: Basically, anything you need for the exam except what you must bring.
Pencils for multiple-choice examination papers; graph paper; notebook paper for planning, case
studies, data booklets, Latin dictionary, etc.
4. Bags, books, purses, cell phones, and other prohibited items must be deposited in areas designated by
Dr. Thomas and must not be taken to the examination desk or table.
5. No materials may be brought into the examination room or used during an examination except those
authorized by the administrator or proctors.
6. Examination books and other material issued for the examination cannot be removed from the
examination room.
7. Students may not communicate with one another in any manner whatsoever during the examination (e.g.
talking, passing notes, texting, sign language, obvious eye contact, etc.).
8. All work completed during the examination and then submitted for assessment, must be the authentic
work of the student. Any collusion, plagiarism, unauthorized material, or communication between or
among students may constitute malpractice, resulting in appropriate action by the International
Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
9. Cellular telephones, cameras, IPODs, MP3 players, personal computers, Personal Digital Assistants (i.e.
Palm Pilots), Blackberries, wristwatch computers or any other device that is electronic are NOT allowed
in an examination area.
10. No form of refreshment other than water may be taken into the examination room.
11. The administrator and proctors have the right to expel any student from the examination room whose
behavior interferes with the proper administration of the examinations.
12. All Myers Park and CMS rules are in effect before, during, and after the exams.
13. Students will not be allowed to leave the examination room until instructed to by the administrator.
Then, they must leave the examination room in a quiet and orderly manner.
14. If the exam is more than one hour long, students may leave early with administrator permission. They
must stay for the first hour for the exam, and may not leave in the last 15 minutes of the exam.
15. Students must show respect at the testing sites and conduct themselves with mature behavior.
Failure to comply with the rules or instructions given by the administrator and proctors may constitute
malpractice, resulting in appropriate action by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). If
misconduct or malpractice is confirmed by the final award committee, your college will be notified.
