Survey of Organizational Excellence Highlights

Approximately 94 percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that they are
“committed to the success of the university.”
•
OLLU scores in three dimensions taken as a whole were at or near those of
institutions of similar mission and of similar size:
o Work Group (questions about supervisor effectiveness, fairness, team
effectiveness and diversity)
o Accommodations (fair pay, physical environment, benefits and
employment development)
o Personal (job satisfaction, time and stress, burnout and empowerment)

OLLU scores in two dimensions taken as a whole were below those of institutions
of similar mission and of similar size:
o Organizational Features (change oriented, goal oriented, holographic,
strategic and quality)
o Information (internal communication, availability and external
information)

The areas of strength, discussed in the Executive Summary, had responses in the
moderate range: diversity, physical environment, quality, job satisfaction and
burnout.
•
The areas of concern, discussed in the Executive Summary, had responses in the
low and moderate ranges: team effectiveness, fair pay, strategic, internal
communication and availability of information.
