Here we are, already in the middle of winter and spring is just around the
corner. Spring is traditionally our busy season so now is an ideal time to let
you know of the recent developments here at Philstic Labels.
Rock Solid and ready to Roll!
Firstly, we have just finished the installation of another Flexographic Press - with the print heads bolted to a slab of
granite - making us ROCK SOLID for all your printing requirements!
Nothing is more stable than ROCK, the latest technology ensures perfect print registration, which is exactly what
the German Engineers had in mind when they designed this press. With customers’ orders increasing significantly
over the past six months, this press enables Philstic Labels to once again expand capacity to meet your needs.
Colour Quality
Philstic Labels also announces the installation of a High Definition Plate Maker which will enable your graphics
to be printed at 4,000 dots per inch (dpi) compared to the traditional 2,400 dpi. This enhances the quality of your
graphic’s to give a better screen and line definition, flowing from solid colours down to a 1% highlight dot.
For the first time, adhesive labels with magazine quality! High Definition will be the new standard at Philstic
Labels and you can expect to see the difference on your next label when new plates are ordered – at no
additional cost!
For customers who have Colour Specification Cards in use, please be aware that these may have to be replaced
on the next run if the new HD plates are used – please feel free to talk to our Sales Representatives if you have
any concerns. Likewise, if you have existing non HD Plates with us, and wish to have these printing plates
upgraded to HD for your next repeat order, for a limited time Philstic Labels will offer this service with a 50%
discount on your normal plate price.
Digital Booklets
But the good news doesn’t stop here! For customers who purchase the Multifold,® our combination label/booklet
product, we are happy to announce that the production of booklets and leaflets has now gone digital at Philstic
Labels. Recently we installed not one, but two top of the line Ricoh C900’s to further enhance the turnaround
time associated with your Multifold® orders and of course being digital, as from 1st August, there will no longer
be a charge for plates linked with your booklets or leaflets!
Mission Accomplished!
And finally for those customers with quality detail in mind, we also introduce the EyeC Proofiler Scanning
System on all jobs produced by Philstic Labels. The EyeC Proofiler digitally scans the first label in a print run, and
compares the scan with the signed approved art in pdf format for any imperfections or missing text, so that our
Qualified Printer can make any necessary amendments before they run your label. This is one more step we have
taken on board so that we can continue to achieve our Mission Statement.
