Tom Crume is currently leading an architecture team within Information Technology at Boeing that is responsible for the design of architecture solutions across the enterprise. Previously he was Senior Manager of CAD/CAM Operations for Commercial Airplanes. In that position he was responsible for production operational support to the Engineering CAD/CAM customer base, which entailed managing a computing infrastructure of thousands of workstations and supporting many thousands of end users of the systems. Tom has also been a Senior Manager of CAD/CAM Support to the Fabrication Division within BCA, and had responsibilities for the Puget Sound Auburn facilities as well as Spokane, WA., Portland, OR. and Arnprior, Canada. This assignment combined his responsibility for both the Information Systems functions and the Shared Systems Group functions within these business units and allowed a single point of support to the customers. Tom began his career at Boeing in January, 1978 and has held numerous positions within the Commercial Airplane business unit. He has supported all airplane programs, from the 707 to the 787 and as such has held positions in all of the Puget Sound area facilities within Washington. The majority of his career has been involved with the communication, facilitation and use of 3D Product Definition data, via the development and implementation of processes, software, and hardware computing tools supporting various business units. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1977 from Purdue University. He has been a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics for over two decades and for many years was the Chairman of one of their Technical Committees – Computer Aided Enterprise Solutions. Tom serves on Purdue University’s School of Technology Industry Advisory Board, is the company’s IT recruiting focal for Purdue, and for over two decades has been the company’s focal for COE, which is the software end user association for the Dassault Systemes tool suite. He is currently serving as past president on the Board of Directors of that association. Booz Allen Hamilton Joshua Sullivan

Dr. Josh Sullivan is a Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President in the firm’s Strategic Innovation Group, leading the data science and cloud analytics capabilities. He is a senior technical leader in emerging technologies, data science, and complex software development. Dr. Sullivan drives the vision, strategy, and delivery of technology research and development, full life cycle system development, and data analytics. Prior to joining Booz Allen, he was a technical director for an engineering firm in Virginia, leading enterprise software development and deployment for dozens of intelligence systems. Previously, he was a staff engineer with the US government, where he served numerous technical and engineering roles. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, AFCEA, and INSA. He represents Booz Allen in the Open Cloud Consortium and OSGi Alliance standards council. He founded and leads the Washington, DC, area Hadoop User Group and is a Commissioner on the Howard County Human Rights Commission. Mr. Besonen began his career as an IBM Systems Administrator and has also served as a Data Base Administrator and a Senior Systems Supervisor in Computer Operations and Engineering Systems support. Dr. Ralph Droms is a Cisco Distinguished Engineer in Research and Advanced Development and an Internet Area Director in the IETF. At Cisco, Dr. Droms is contributing to the development of technologies for distributed control systems in the Smart Grid, and the standardization of protocols for IP over IEEE 802.15.4. In his role as Internet Area Director, Dr. Droms oversees several IETF working groups that focus on the IP protocol and related services. Prior to his appointment as Internet Area Director in 2009, Dr. Droms organized the IETF dhc Working Group in 1989 and chaired the Working Group until 2009. He has acted as editor for many of the DHCP specifications and has authored more than 20 RFCs as well as "The DHCP Handbook". In addition to his work in the IETF, he is currently contributing to the ZigBee Alliance ZIP (ZigBee IP) standard. Previously, he was editor for the IPv6 requirements in the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 specification and has contributed to other standards bodies. Before he came to Cisco, Dr. Droms was on the faculty at Bucknell and Penn State universities. He has also been on the research staff at both IBM and Burroughs (Unisys). Michael Weiner graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with both a BS (’89) and MS (’91) in engineering. Michael’s first job out of school was working for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory developing 3D visualization programs for different engineering disciplines at the lab. Michael began his career at FactSet Research Systems in 1998 as a Software Engineer working on graphics and charting engines for the company. Since then, Michael has held a variety of positions including Principal Software Engineer, Director of Engineering Recruiting and Training, and most recently as Vice President, Director of Recruiting. In this current role, Michael is responsible for recruiting programs through the world, but still stays focused on campus recruitment and developing technical talent for FactSet. Brian Treml joined Nielsen in 2008 as a Master Black Belt for Technology, then took the role of Innovation Leader of the Measurement Science (MSci) Center of Innovation (COI) in May 2011, and now serves as the Global MSci Training Leader. He is responsible for developing and delivering technical training, developing organizational talent, and managing the knowledge generated by Nielsen’s scientific and research community. In 2006 Mr. Buckley served as Director of Hardware Engineering at the Baltimore campus. Mr. Buckley was appointed Vice President, Engineering & Manufacturing for the Central Region in 2008 and relocated to Rolling Meadows, Ill. where he had executive responsibility for all operations pertaining to the Engineering and Manufacturing business portfolio including system architecture and design, detailed design and analysis and production capabilities for multiple product lines which included EO/IR, Electronic Warfare and Automated Test Equipment. Mr. Buckley currently serves on the Corporate Relations Advisory Board at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering and is the Corporate Executive Sponsor for Purdue University. Abdellatif Saoudi received his PhD in Computer Science from Nantes University (France) in 1997 and his MSc from INSA de Lyon (France). He has served on the faculties of Polytechnic Institute of Nantes and Nantes University. The author of several industrial and scientific papers, he is interested in internet computing, data analytics, and knowledge management. Dr. Saoudi also served as Head Corporate Solutions in Qatar Petroleum (Qatar) where he managed large‐scale ICT projects’ portfolio as well as leading major initiatives related to Web Technologies, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and GIS. He has worked as an IT expert for Islamic Development Bank (International Financial Institution) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he played a key role in leading the strategic banking solutions. A graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Brian has worked in the software industry for over 23 years. He started out in UNIX operating system kernel development and the last 17 years in the telecommunications industry working in an embedded and real‐time systems environment. Brian has been involved in the Bluetooth specification since its inception as an industry standard in 1998. He has co‐authoring several of the initial specifications and product qualification program. He is still quite active in the current and future Bluetooth specification development, including Bluetooth low energy. Brian is a senior staff engineer and works on standards development, software architecture and systems engineering in the wireless connectivity technologies at Qualcomm's wholly owned subsidiary Qualcomm Atheros. Cindy began her career in 1985 at the Naval Avionics Center in Indianapolis as a software engineer. She continues to work at that facility, now privatized as part of Raytheon. Cindy initially supported a Navy airborne electronic warfare system with responsibilities progressing from developer, to installation and flight test support, to software and acquisition management. From that background Cindy leveraged into software process improvement initiatives. In 1998 Cindy led the site software process group through a successful Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level III appraisal. Since that time she has supported the process group in a variety of roles with achievement of progressive maturity levels of the SEI CMM‐Integrated model for the Engineering Operations of the Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC). Cindy’s current assignments include technical and resource management and supervision for software engineers supporting a variety of military applications. Cindy also serves as the Learning Coordinator for the RTSC Software Engineering Center which includes programs and employees in Indianapolis and across the RTSC network throughout the nation. Additionally, Cindy assists Raytheon with talent acquisition through a variety of venues. Cindy holds a BS in Computer Science and Geography from Ball State and a Masters in Engineering Management from the Rose‐Hulman Institute of Technology. She is the mother of two and participates in a variety of nonprofit groups at the St. John’s United Church of Christ and Society of Women Engineers organization in Indianapolis. Dr. Dunsmore's interest areas include Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Agile Software Development Methodologies, Object‐Oriented Design and Programming, and Web Programming. Dr. Dunsmore was Chair of the College of Science Undergraduate Education Policy and Curriculum Committee 2005‐2010. In 2007 he led the effort which revised the College of Science Undergraduate curriculum to include team experience, technical writing and presentation, and great issues in science. He has served as Chair of the Computer Sciences Undergraduate Committee for eighteen of the last twenty years. In 2010 he led the effort which revised the CS Undergraduate Curriculum to include tracks (specialty areas for students in their junior and senior years) and senior projects. Dr. Dunsmore was named Outstanding Teacher in the College of Science at Purdue University in 1980. He was the 1996 recipient of the Murphy Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award at Purdue University. He was chosen as a Founding Fellow of the Purdue University Teaching Academy in 1997 and as a Member of the Teaching Academy Executive Council in 2006. In 1999 Buster was selected for the "Book of Great Teachers" honoring the outstanding teachers at Purdue University since its founding in 1874. He was selected in 2001 as one of the Outstanding Indiana Information Technology Educators by the Indiana Information Technology Association (INITA). He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Upsilon Pi Epsilon (honor society for the computing sciences). Dr. Dunsmore has extensive legal and industrial consulting experience. Tim Korb is the Assistant Head in the Department of Computer Sciences. He is responsible for the direction and operation of the departmental computing facilities and oversees several departmental programs, including corporate and alumni relations, K‐12 outreach, and various educational initiatives. He recently taught a course in human‐computer interaction (HCI) and a new Education course in computer science teaching methods, aimed at future high school CS teachers. He also teaches the yearly competitive programming course. Korb collaborates with faculty on joint research projects and serves on campus‐wide computing and administrative committees. His current technical interests include human‐computer interaction, algorithm implementation, and computer science education techniques. He is a co‐founder of and scientific advisor to Arxan Technologies, a software security company started at Purdue. Korb received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Arizona in 1979. Sunil Prabhakar received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1998 and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1990. Since August 1998 he has been with the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University. He is currently serving as the Department Head. Dr. Prabhakar's main area of research is database systems. He is currently working on developing novel databases for handling uncertain data and developing solutions that ensure authenticity, integrity and privacy for outsourced databases including cloud databases. In earlier work, he has developed solutions for scalability and efficiency for moving objects and sensor databases, digital rights management for databases through digital watermarking, and ensuring correctness over private databases. Dr. Aman Yadav is an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science at Purdue University. In addition to Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology, he holds bachelors and masters in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Yadav’s teaching and research focuses on problem‐based learning, technology, cognition, and computational thinking. His work also involves creating pathways for teachers to become computationally educated secondary teachers through a National Science Foundation funded CS4EDU and PD4CS projects. A Rhode Island native, Gina attended graduate school at Indiana University, Bloomington, receiving an MA and a Ph.D. in the humanities. She has taught a wide range of courses in foreign language, literature and composition at Indiana University, Middlebury College and Butler University. Gina served United States Senator Richard G. Lugar as director of outreach and Central Indiana regional director. She subsequently joined Butler University as the director of learning resources, and was later Butler’s associate provost. In 2009, Gina joined then‐Governor Daniels second administration, as senior deputy commissioner of the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. In that role, Gina managed Indiana’s state workforce board and led a reform effort for the state’s workforce investment system and Adult Education program. In 2012 Gina became chief of staff to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, focusing on implementation of the state’s strategic plan, for higher education, Reaching Higher‐Achieving More. Gina is deeply honored by the opportunity to serve President Daniels and the Purdue University community as chief of staff, employing her knowledge and experience in undergraduate teaching, academic research, higher‐education administration and public service as Purdue works toward its aspirational future. Gina was a founding member of the Dean's Council for Indiana University's School of Informatics. She is vice‐chair for Goodwill Education Initiatives, the board holding the charters for the Indianapolis Metropolitan High School and the Excel Centers for adult education. Gina was a member of the executive committee for the State Workforce Innovation Council and has served on Indiana’s Education Roundtable. She has served and continues to serve on a number of boards and working groups aimed at increasing high‐school graduation and college‐completion, improving coordination between educators and employers, and developing innovative instructional‐strategies at the post‐secondary level. Daniel J. Hasler (Dan) was named President and Chief Entrepreneurial Officer of Purdue Research Foundation in February 2013. His responsibilities include supervising Purdue University's entrepreneurial and technology transfer activities to drive the life‐
changing innovations of Purdue's many researchers through commercialization and to the benefit of the public. Previously, Hasler served as the Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana and Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). He has an extensive 31‐year career at Eli Lilly and Company, a Fortune 500 global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis. While at Eli Lilly, Hasler served in a number of leadership positions, most recently as vice president for global marketing, responsible for the commercial strategy and market performance of Lilly’s pharmaceutical portfolio. He also was the chief marketing officer for Eli Lilly USA. Prior to that, he led the commercial operations of Eli Lilly’s largest European group for three years and was general manager and president of Eli Lilly of Brazil LTD. In 2010, Hasler was the recipient of the Lilly Lifetime Achievement Award. A native of Paris, Illinois, Hasler is a graduate of DePauw University and has a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He is actively involved in the Hoosier community and serves on a number of boards. Hasler and his wife, Kathy, live in Indianapolis with their two children. Jeffery Roberts

Prof. Roberts was born in California and completed his undergraduate studies there, first at Santa Rosa Junior College and then at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a BS in Chemistry in 1982. His doctoral research, on ultrahigh vacuum surface chemistry, was conducted under the direction of Cynthia Friend at Harvard University. Upon completing his PhD in 1988, he became a post‐
doctoral associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, working in the group of Robert Madix. He joined the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor in 1990, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1996 and Professor in 2003. He has served as Chair of the Department of Chemistry from 2005‐09. Prof. Roberts has authored or co‐authored nearly 100 peer‐reviewed papers, as well as several book chapters and monographs. His current research interests focus on aerosol surface chemistry, with emphases on heterogeneous processing at atmospheric aerosol particles and surface modification of aerosol nanoparticles for materials applications. He teaches courses at all levels and specializes in the fields of physical and materials chemistry. From 2001‐2007, Prof. Roberts directed the University of Minnesota Research Site for Educators in Chemistry, an NSF‐supported initiative to increase the research capacity of chemistry faculty at primarily undergraduate institutions. Other service and disciplinary‐related activities include co‐directorship of the University of Minnesota IGERT in Nanoparticle Science and Engineering, and membership on the University Minnesota Strategic Positioning Task Force on Discipline Evolution and Interdisciplinary Research. Prof. Roberts is the recipient of several awards, including a Special Creativity Award from the National Science Foundation (2003) and a Sloan Fellowship (1996). He was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2008.
