Established in 2001, Oakwood specialise in providing luxury toilet hire for all types of events across the UK. Being keen attendees of various outdoor events, Oakwood couldn't help but notice that most events although brilliant seemed to have some kind of let down when it came to basic provisions. That in mind Oakwood set out to create a stylish facility which would be uber modern with no chemical use and certainly no recirculation of waste liquids when flushing! Their objective was to create a place where you could feel comfortable and retain your class, somewhere to use as normal as you would in your own home.... Since their inception Thrones have been in attendance at a multitude of high profile events, from Motorsport events, Polo matches to Rock & Film stars on location, Thrones luxury loo's have been servicing VIP guests with ease and sophistication. The latest units have been specially built for the 2013 season and are available with bespoke options such as attended service, cloth hand towels and media provisions and services which keep guests in the loop. The concept, styling and build of the Thrones luxury loo is entirely down to Oakwood who handcraft the units alongside their team. Luxury Defined... Luxury Defined... A Plush Flush Thrones system consists of toilets and greywater interfaces connected to a vacuum generator via the piping. The basic principle behind a vacuum toilet system is to use differences in air pressure to transport sewage from toilets and urinals (sometimes also greywater). The Jets Vacuumarator™ pump generates vacuum directly in the piping system and the entire piping system is kept at a constant vacuum level When the toilet is flushed, a valve in the toilet opens. Approximately 60 litres of air along with about 1 litre of water is sucked into the piping system because of the vacuum present in the piping. The water and sewage create a "slug", which is transported through the piping system because of the different air pressure levels in front of and behind the slug. During the transport through the vacuum piping, the slug is affected by gravity and flattens out after a time. Slugs have to be re-formed in the piping. This is done by installing low points in the piping, known as transport pockets. As blackwater builds up in the transport pockets, new slugs are formed. At the next flush of a toilet, the slug moves on and re-forms again and again in transport pockets further down the piping system. This revered system is the choice of many luxury manufacturing industries throughout the world and is a standard feature of our luxury loo. We can assure you that most other manufacturers of "luxury loos" still use basic recirculated waste toilet water to flush so do not utilise the same technology found in our thrones. part of the Oakwood Services Group Technology Inside Hire Options To Suit Your Event Whatever your event, we can fulfill your request with both short & long term hire solutions. Thrones are not chemical based toilets, they work on a water based vacuum flush which means the unit stays fresh all day long. The units are completely self contained and one unit can easily service 300 people over a period of 8 hours. We do of course run services for keeping the unit in working order throughout your events or parties if the need arises when the usage is higher than the average stated due to the nature of the event. We are on call throughout your hire period and are alerted automatically when any tanks need replenishing. For longer term use where mains sewerage and water are available the unit can run indefinitely as the pump can transport waste up to a distance of 50 metres away from the unit. This means any servicing is not needed to maintain constant use of the facility. Thrones work with you to make your event one seamless experience for your guests.
