Volume 10, Number 1
Welcome back for another year of Tech Tips. These issues of Tech Tips are
designed to give you assistance in developing a digital classroom and helping your
learners increase their digital literacy, no matter the technology you have available.
This Issue: Digital Learning through FUN and GAMES
This first issue explores fun ways to increase integration of digital literacy into your
lessons. Many ideas are templates for PowerPoint that can be easily adapted for
individual instruction. Some of the games can be downloaded from the sites or
used directly online. They are:
PowerPoint Games for project learning created by teachers.

Games with multiple themes and useable in a variety of instructional areas.

English skills games with some downloadable worksheets. Some games may not
be appropriate for adults.
http://www.marks-english-school.com/games.html
ESL games for all levels of learners and areas of instruction; online and printable
games. Be patient as the games take a while to load.
http://www.eslgamesworld.com/
Games for Advanced ESL and ABE/ASE learners. For example, the game listed
below shows the syllables and the user puts the words together. It can be
challenging. Be selective as not all games here may be useful for the classroom.

A Weebly site created to give you a Constitution Jeopardy PowerPoint with a
category for the Illinois Constitution answers based on the Constitution test given
in Illinois. It also has some downloadable board games. The Constitution
PowerPoint, once downloaded to your computer, has a few free spaces to add
your own “answers” or you can edit the entire game to fit students’ needs. There is
also a file that can be downloaded with instructions for completing any Jeopardy
PowerPoint.*
