EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Here at Griffin Brothers, we believe our dedicated employees make all the
difference. By hiring experienced, professional staff we’re able to offer the very
best service to our customers. With that being said, we want to congratulate
our very own, Tony Lamphear, because he fits that description.
Tony was a familiar face at our University store for over 13 years as a Service
Advisor and now is a Business Development Center (BDC) call center
representative. His vast experience and friendly personality make him an
excellent fit to assist customers.
Tony is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and has been working with
Griffin Brothers for over 13
years and has been in the
automotive service industry
since 1984. When we asked
Tony what his favorite thing
about working with Griffin
Brothers was, he simply
responded,
“The relationships I have with my customers. Sometimes
it seems like I grew up with some of them. I know the
kids’ and pets’ names and watch their kids grow up
who are now driving and getting service. It’s an
awesome feeling.” When he isn’t at work, you’ll
find him enjoying a good meal made on one of his
two homemade smokers.

Today, I took my 2009 Lexus RX350 in to your Idlewild Rd, Matthews, NC shop
to have them check out a front brake chatter. I had the brakes repaired there in
November, 2014. Chris Wright and his associate could not have been nicer or more
professional. They quickly diagnosed
the problem as out of round (warped)
rotors. They repaired the problem and I
was on my way in less than 1 hour. I was
pleasantly surprised when Chris told me
that there would be no charge as this
problem occurred during the warranty
period. As a retired mechanical engineer who spent my entire career in the repair
business (rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines) I was impressed at the
professionalism and promptness Chris and his associates exhibited. I will certainly
return to this shop when I need further auto repairs. You should be proud of your
staff at this location and I hope you will give them my thanks!

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER
In keeping with our goal of offering the very best in customer service, we have a
dedicated Business Development Center (BDC). Five professionally-trained staff
members operate the call center and accept all incoming store calls and make followup calls to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, employees periodically contact
customers to notify them of current specials and promotions. In addition to transferring
calls to various locations and Service Advisors they can also assist customers with any
questions, comments or concerns they may have regarding their vehicle.

we can quickly generate a
report of each and every
customer who purchased
the affected tire and
contact them.
PENDING FEDERAL LEGISLATION
In the unlikely event of a safety-related tire recall, it’s extremely important to notify
the consumer as quickly as possible to have the tire(s) replaced immediately. Griffin
Brothers amended our point-of-sale system several years ago to document the
exact tire(s) a customer purchases. In the event of a recall, we can quickly generate
a report of each and every customer who purchased the affected tire and contact
them.
There is pending federal legislation that would require all tire dealers to do the same.
If this passes there will be a cost to comply, but at Griffin Brothers, our customers
safety is just as important as their satisfaction, which is why we have been already
practicing it for over four years. Feel confident that if you purchase tires at Griffin
