With the escalation of active shooter events over the past few years, the time to plan, prepare and train is NOW!
According to a 2014 report from the FBI, in the majority of active shooter incidents, 60% were over before police arrived on the scene.
Nationwide statistics show that the average incident ends within seven minutes, but it takes law enforcement an average of 14-17 minutes to arrive.
What if you knew the basics of what to do in an active shooter situation in order to make critical decisions for yourself? Understanding human reactions experienced by civilians and police officers in a crisis situation are the foundation for making the best decisions possible when you find yourself in a dangerous situation.
Planning, preparation and training are the keys to help minimize your risks and increase your chances of survival.
Contact us today to schedule a Security Site
Assessment and Customized On-site Training!
In order to keep up with current industry trends and training standards, ETC Safety Professionals attend professional development training whenever possible.
Recently, Corey Reed attended the Ammonia Safety &
Training Institute’s (ASTI) 32 hour training class. The course is designed for advanced ammonia technicians who instruct, respond to, and manage ammonia emergency events. Participating in this ASTI training class allows him to understand the real world hazards associated with chemical gas emergencies and enhances our training programs for companies who routinely use these hazardous materials.
ETC instructors rely on their experience and the most current industry standards to ensure our training meets your requirements for today and into the future.

Does your organization value safety and environmental responsibility, yet lack the budgetary resources for a full-time safety / environmental professional? We may have the answer you’ve been looking for.
Our Safety / Environmental Management Services program is designed to assist organizations in developing and maintaining a high level of safety and environmental awareness among management and employees.
One of our Safety Professionals will conduct a preliminary site visit, then work with you to develop a detailed plan of action. The plan may require the services of an ETC safety professional a few hours a month or several days a week depending on the amount of work needed to attain compliance, fill the gaps or to boost your company’s safety program to the next level.
We also offer a Mentoring Option where we work with a designated employee during the scheduled site visits to train them on the ways to maintain a self-sustaining and viable safety / environmental program.
Clients who have utilized this program have found this approach to be a cost-effective and successful solution to the problem of making safety and environmental compliance an attainable priority in the workplace.
