CHURCH NEWS Sunday School Rally Day on Sept. 7 had 35 boys and girls enjoying a special guest: Noah Eschmann told us about his mission trip to Mexico. We welcomed new students. Each week we will meet in the church for our opening and for music. Then we will go to our classrooms. Today our children will study the Scripture’s account “Sin Enters the World” as the devil tempted Adam and Eve to sin. With the fall into sin came God’s punishment of death—but also His promise of a Savior. You might discuss, “How does sin affect us as a family? How does God’s promise of a Savior give us comfort?” Life Together in the study of God’s word at 9:15 a.m. in the church basement today - 2 Chronicles 17, Pious King Jehoshaphat of Judah. Next week: 1 Kings 22:1-28, Ahab and Jehoshaphat’s War Against the Syrians. Next week Rev. Wendell Peterson will be preaching at our 10:30 a.m. service. This coincides with the Confirmation Class of 1954 reunion. Next Sunday, Sept. 28, there will be a bake sale for Advent by Candlelight between services in the middle basement. Free will offering.
