The AAT Accounting Qualification gives you all the practical, everyday skills you need to be able to build a career
in finance. Follow the steps below to help you decide how to approach your studies.

Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
School leavers or students with
no accounting experience
usually start with Level 2
5 modules assessed by computer based exam or
project OR Level 2 Bookkeeping
Students with A levels or 6
months relevant work
experience may be able to
start at Level 3
Level 3 Diploma in Accounting
6 modules assessed by computer based exam or
project

Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
New students can also register for the
Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
Upon completion of two exams (PBKT
and CJBS) students may then progress
directly to the Level 3 Accounting
qualification.
Determine if you are eligible for funding under the AAT Apprenticeship scheme. If you can answer yes to all the
questions below then you might benefit from free or discounted courses. First Intuition are working in partnership
with West Berkshire Training Consortium to access funding for eligible learners.
