How to Start a Business Seminar & Mentoring Workshop

1. What is the Go Negosyo MBA
M.B.A. for Entrepreneurs (Magandang Business Advice) is an output-based workshop focused on next-level
actions of venture planning and venture initiation. It is the level up seminar for Negosyo Seminar Basics.
At the end of the seminar-workshop, the learner should be able to present a Business Plan and be
enlightened and guided through actual critiquing and mentoring.

Pax Lapid
Mr. Pax is an experienced business consultant/entrepreneur/professor with extensive background in the Information
Technology/Retail/Food Service/Petroleum Industry. He worked as a Shell executive for over 22 years where he
handled various functions that included local and international assignments.
His extensive career in marketing/general management made him an ideal candidate as the ASEAN Business
representative in Shell London.
As an entrepreneur, he has launched several small and medium scale enterprises – local restaurant that offers Filipino
quick-service meals to commuter transients along the expressways; two quick-service sandwich kiosks catering to
high-traffic Shell convenience stores; a company in the IT’HR industry offering outsourced systems development
services to North American Retail/supermarket chains; and a farm that grows high-valued crops (especially lettuce) for
food processors and international fast food chains/restaurants.
He is the former Dean of the Entrepreneurs School of Asia where young aspiring students are taught how to set up and
manage their own business ventures. He used to teach as an adjunct faculty at the Asian Institute of Management. He
has done industry consultancy/guest resourcing for various companies like Goldilocks, Jollibee, KFC, Shell Philippines
and as well as Department of Education. He is also a regular advocate/mentor of the Go Negosyo caravans and
events, and appears in Go Negosyo’s TV show Go Negosyo, Kaya Mo!
Ardy Roberto
Ardy Roberto is a best-selling author and award-winning entrepreneur. He was Entrepreneur magazine's Most Inspiring
Entrepreneur of the year in 2006; a prestigious award sponsored by Microsoft for entrepreneurs who have succeeded
despite facing personal adversities. After back to back bankruptcies and quitting a thriving direct sales business to care
for his wife stricken by life-threatening lupus, Ardy Roberto, co-founded two companies – Salt & Light Ventures and
Inspire Leadership Consultancy-- that have become the leading learning events and leadership training companies in
the Philippines.
Ardy and his team are pioneers in the knowledge-transfer revolution to the Philippines through the importing and
hosting of thought leaders and gurus like Tom Peters, John Maxwell, Al and Laura Ries, Jay Levinson, Tony Buzan,
Blue Ocean's Prof Kim, and MIT's Peter Senge, to name a few.
Ardy is also the co-author and author of seven books including the National Golden Book award finalist for best
inspirational book, the Heart of Healing; and the #1 National Best-Selling book, Money That's Never Short (Ang Pera
na Hindi Bitin). The Heart of Healing has inspired and touched thousands of readers including doctors and health
professionals who admitted needing healing themselves. Ardy has also spoken at the Hospital Management Asia
conference since 2008; his sessions at the HMA have been consistently rated in the top 5 talks by HMA delegates.
Ardy has a number of advocacies, including The Adoption Forum, Feed the Orphans and Project Author – a 10 week
coaching program for aspiring book authors. He is also an “Angelpreneur” speaking on Mindsets of Success in cities

Reuel Virtucio
Prof. Reuel K. Virtucio has extensive experience in business development with particular focus on international
business projects across a wide spectrum of industries. He has most recently been involved in business development
for educational institutions and agri-business.
Mr. Virtucio is also a seasoned teacher, trainor and management consultant. He has taught and continues to teach
business and management subjects in some of the most prestigious schools in the Philippines. He has also served as
resource person on business development and supply chain management for various seminars and workshops of the
Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organization.
Mr. Virtucio is also active in NGO work, particularly in the fields of microfinance and small enterprise development. He
is also a regular resource person for GoNegosyo, a national advocacy program for entrepreneurship development in
the Philippines. Prof. Virtucio has a Masters in Business Management degree conferred by the Asian institute of
Management. He is married with two children. Currently, he is based in the Philippines.

Payment is made through bank deposit. All participants are required to write in their deposit slips the
phrase “For M.B.A. Program” below the stated amount before making the deposit.

After the payment, what is next?
Send thru facsimile a copy of the (1) Deposit Slip and the (2) Accomplished Registration Form. Go

After the payment, what is next?
During the day of the seminar, please bring your Deposit Slip and the Accomplished Registration Form.
These will be presented to the Registration Committee for the issuance of your Official Receipt (OR).
Which comes first, the registration or the payment?
Ideally, participants must pay first before registering as the deposit slip number is required for
registration. If the participant registered first, payment must be settled the following working day
otherwise the registration will be void.
Is Walk-in Registration allowed?
Yes, Walk-in Registrants shall be entertained. They will pay the Onsite Registration Fee of P2,300.00
and accomplish the Registration Form on site. An Official Receipt will likewise be issued after all the
payments have been done.
Will I be entitled to a Certificate of Participation?
Yes, a Certificate of Participation will be given to those who completed the seminar at the end of the
program.
