Quick Start for Tradesmen International
Welcome to Summit’s OSHA 10 hour training. This easy guide provides you with
information on the functions of Summit’s OSHA 10/30 Hour training system.
1. To begin your training, click the “Launch Training System” button
2. To access the study guides, click the “OSHA Study Guides” link
After clicking the “OSHA Study Guides” link, a separate internet browser window will open showing
the following options. Choose the program you are working on to find the appropriate study guides.

Accessing the Study Guides

For example, in choosing the 10 Hour Construction link, the following page will appear.
With it a list of courses and their study guide PDFs. Click on the study guide that you
wish to view.
Once, it is finished loading your study guide will
be ready to view. The study
guide will be a PDF of all
the course slides, just scroll
through them.

After clicking the PDF you wish to download, it will take a moment to load (See below).

Beginning Your Training Session:
To begin your training session click on the “Launch the Training System” button.
After clicking “Submit” you will come to the
following screen. This screen will show you the
following courses you have yet to complete. If
the course listed shows “Not Started” that means
you have yet to begin the course. If the course
shows “In Progress” that means you have started
the course, but have not finished it. If the course
shows “Completed” that means you have
successfully completed the course.

The following separate window will appear. Read the following information
carefully and then click “Submit” to continue.

After you select the training title you will be working on, it will direct you to the main menu
for that specific title. There you will see each section of that specific training topic. Click each
training section to continue through the topic.

Messaging System:
On the left hand side of the Main Menu, the icon with a mail symbol will take you to the following
screen. This will allow you to send a message to either the Program Administrator, OSHA Authorized
Trainer, Technical Support, or Training System Support if you have a question or comment.
Begining Your Course:

After you have selected your course section, you will be taken through a number or slides. Each slide
is narrated and timed, when the narration is over, you will be able to continue on to the next slide by
clicking the forward arrow. (Located in the bottom right corner)

Throughout the course you will have interactions. These will be short questions to test your knowledge.
Words underlined and in blue
indicate a glossary term. Click on
the term to view the definition.

After you have selected your answer to the question, it will display if you have answered the correct
or incorrect. Once the narration is done, click the forward arrow to continue.

When you have finished all of the narrated slides, you will end with training section with a quiz.
You MUST pass ever quiz with a 70% or higher to complete the course. If you do not pass the quiz
you will need to start the course over from the beginning.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You only have THREE attempts at passing each quiz. If you do not pass on your third try, you
will not be able to take the course online. You will need to take a classroom style course to
complete your OSHA training.
After you have finished a section and passed your quiz you will need to click on the home
button. This will bring you back to the main menu.

Once you have finished your quiz, the following screen will appear with your quiz score.

Here you can see the course sections that you have finished and what ones still need to be completed.

After you have completed you last course section and passed the quiz, you will see a screen like the
following.
Here you will your score for the quiz you just completed as well as your overall score on the entire course.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You only have THREE attempts at passing each quiz. If you do not pass on your third try, you
will not be able to take the course online. You will need to take a classroom style course to
complete your OSHA training.

After you have completed every quiz with a passing score you will have a gold medal on every
course in that section.
