Demand® CS benefits
Demand® CS is a microencapsulated formulation containing the insecticide lambda-cyhalothrin.
It is designed to provide long-lasting residual control of a broad range of crawling and flying insect pests and uses state-of-the-art microcapsule technology developed for the most demanding pest controllers.

This innovative water-based formulation is available in two strengths (either
25 or 100 grams/litre lambda-cyhalothrin) and is intended for dilution with water for application to surfaces using conventional compression sprayer equipment.
After application, the water evaporates to leave the microcapsules available on surfaces. The active ingredient remains protected from the environment within the microcapsules and this protection provides extended duration of effect, especially on challenging surfaces such as cement. In addition, the capsule size has been optimized so that insects moving over treated surfaces pick up microcapsules on their bodies. Once attached to the insects, the active ingredient rapidly moves out of the capsule and into the insect, providing a rapid knockdown effect followed by quick kill.
Semi-permeable membrane
A semi-permeable membrane protects the active ingredient.
Lambda-cyhalothrin
Once the capsule becomes attached to an insect, the lambdacyhalothrin moves rapidly through the membrane into the insect.
Demand CS can be applied in many situations such as in and around residential, institutional, public and commercial buildings for the control of insect pests. For indoor use it should be applied as a crack and crevice treatment to areas that insects are causing problems for people and/ or animals. It can also be applied outdoors as a perimeter treatment, for example, by application to masonry, around doors and windows and among ornamental shrubs and foliage.
The treated surface is covered with millions of microcapsules, which remain intact on the surface after spraying.
The microcapsules adhere to the insect moving over the treated surface. By diffusion, the active ingredient starts moving out of the capsule and through the insect cuticle.
Some of the microcapsules are transported by the insect into harbourage sites, where they are available for pick-up by other insects.
