ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Ravi Zacharias
Founder and President of RZIM.org
• Well-known and honored speaker for decades in scores of
universities, notably Harvard, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, and
Oxford University.
• Has direct contact with key leaders, senators, congressmen, and
governors who consult him on an ongoing basis.
• Spoken at the Annual Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations in
New York twice, has also given National Day of Prayer addresses at
the White House, the Pentagon, and The Cannon House, and
capitals of Canada, England, and the United States.
• Emigrated to Canada at 20, pursued a career in business
management before speaking and writing; honored with six doctoral degrees, including a
Doctor of Laws and a Doctor of Sacred Theology. He is presently Senior Research Fellow at
Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University in Oxford, England.
• Prolific author, and distinguished lecturer, respected speaker and commentator worldwide.
• RZIM is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Zacharias and his wife, Margie, have three
grown children. They reside in Atlanta.

A Christian Family ministry to the South Asian communities in North
America. Sam lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two
boys. He holds degrees in Engineering and Management, worked in the
corporate world for nearly a decade before stepping into Christian ministry.
He studied at Fuller and Princeton Seminaries in the US, and completed his
PhD in diaspora missiology and theology from Liverpool, UK. He is the
author of the popular book, Understanding the Coconut Generation and coauthored with his wife a marriage preparation guide titled Before the
Wedding Bells. Last year, he edited a volume Malayali Diaspora and is a series editor for five
volumes on Indian Diaspora.
The seminar will include the following topics:
a) Common Mistakes South Asian American parents make;
b) Healthy Plan for Raising kids in another culture;
c) Changing Parenting Roles; and,
d) Understanding the Coconut Generation (brown outside and white inside) - Americanization
process and the struggle of being caught between two worlds.

Groups) and Can’t (mobilizing missions within closed, restricted, and
limited access countries).
