and courage in considering adoption for
your baby. We can never truly
understand everything you are going
through, but please know we offer our
sincere support and prayers. It takes a
very special person to choose life and
consider helping another couple make
their dreams of parenthood come true.
We recognize that you are trying to
make the best decision for your baby.
We hope by looking at our photos and

our lives with a child. We have so much
love to give and are ready to expand our

Why We Chose Adoption
We have always known we wanted children. After our first pregnancy resulted
in a devastating miscarriage, we were blessed to give birth to our beautiful son
Gabriel. Being parents has been such a great gift for us. We are thankful
everyday to have him in our lives. Once we had Gabe, we knew we wanted more
children. Unfortunately we found out we would not be able to conceive again.
Although it was devastating news, this experience has only strengthened our
marriage, faith and desire for another child. We are excited about adopting
and know we will cherish and appreciate every moment that we are given.

What We Are Hoping

adoption, if this is something

to get to know you and be at
the hospital for the birth if
you are comfortable. We are

letters of your baby for as

open to a periodic visit to
spend time together. We

a more closed adoption, and we
respect your wishes and

Kelli
Mickey's Thoughts on Kelli
Kelli is my closest friend, my love and my spouse. She
has a genuine character and a sincere honesty in her
words and actions. She is a very loyal friend. I've
watched her travel across the country when a friend was
going through a difficult medical procedure. She cooked
and cleaned for the family, took kids to school, drove
her friend to the daily chemo appointment, and dried
the tears off her shoulder each day. I've always been
impressed with her selflessness and nurturing ways.

Stay-At-Home Mommy
Kelli chose to leave her
career in the pharmaceutical
industry after having Gabe
four years ago. She loves
being a stay-at-home Mommy
and looks forward to
continuing to do so with
future children. During the
day Kelli and Gabe spend a lot
of time together reading,
playing or "doing projects" as
Gabe calls it. Anything from
painting, to making costumes
to one time I came home to a
2-foot tall erupting volcano
the two had made of papiermâché. Two days a week Gabe
goes to preschool, so Kelli will
have the much needed one on
one time with our new baby,
which we feel is important.

Kelli as A Mommy
Kelli has a big heart for children and a big heart for
animals. I always thought I was a dog lover until I met
her. Kelli’s love for animals has rubbed off on Gabe, as
they enjoy visiting the zoo, aquarium and pet stores often.
Kelli is a very involved mommy and gives Gabe the love and
attention he needs daily. She has the ability to establish
discipline, yet still be doting and lovable with kids. She is
a wonderful Mom and she is so excited to have a baby to
hold & cuddle, kiss, rock and sing lullabies to.

Mickey’s Secure
Engineering Career
Mickey works as an electrical
engineer for a large power
company. He has regular hours
with holidays and weekends
off. His job is secure even in
the declining economy, which
has given Kelli the ability to
be a stay-at-home mom full
time. We have planned for
our future by having an
excellent retirement plan,
health and life insurance.
In addition, we have been
planning for our children's
future by actively
contributing to a college
fund.
Kelli's Thoughts on Mickey
Mickey is not only the love of my life, but
he is my best friend. We have a very open
and honest marriage. We discuss
everything and truly enjoy hanging out
together. Everyday without fail, Mickey
tells me how much he loves me, which makes
me feel so special and appreciated. Mickey
has tremendous loyalty and honor. If
Mickey makes a commitment or promise, he
always sticks to his word. He is my biggest
cheerleader. If I ever get discouraged or
doubt myself, he will encourage me to face
the day with strength and enthusiasm.
Mickey has a wonderful sense of humor. I
find myself laughing with him to the point
of embarrassingly snorting. I also like that
he can laugh at his own cheesy jokes. I can
honestly say that I love him more today,
than when we first married. I am so
honored and proud to be his wife. I wish
that every woman had a man like Mickey in
her life.

Mickey is a
Hands-on Daddy
It is an incredible joy to see Mickey
parent our son. I always knew he would
be a great father, but seeing it first
hand, makes me so proud! He is a very
hands-on "Papa", never shying away
from diaper changes, late night
feedings and baths. He has incredible
patience and kindness. Mickey also
demonstrates his love for Gabe with
frequent hugs, kisses and telling him
how much he loves him. Just as Mickey
adores Gabe, I know that he will love,
adore and cherish our next child with
all that he is and all that he has.

Our 4-year-old son, Gabriel, who
we call "Gabe", is an absolute joy!
He is extremely affectionate and
kind-hearted. He loves to hold
hands and cuddle. One of our
favorite times of day is when he
first wakes up because he will sit
in our laps telling us "how much he
loves us". Gabe gives the best
bear hugs and kisses. He loves
imaginary play and dressing up in
costumes. He tells us that he
wants to be both an astronaut and
a fireman when he grows up. We
tell him to "Go for it!"

Our Parenting Philosophy
We are a team in our parenting and we believe
in raising our child with Christian values,
surrounding them with love and respect, and
emphasizing the importance of responsibility
and education. We also understand that
discipline needs to be consistent and
communication needs to be clear and mutually
respectful. We believe that our children will
grow up to be happy, productive, educated and
responsible citizens. We will encourage them to
pursue whatever hopes and dreams they have.
Additionally, we look forward to exposing our
children to a variety of experiences through
travel, art, sports, church and community
outreach to become well-rounded adults.

Our Community & Home
Our home has 5 bedrooms and a large
fenced-in-yard. A fort and swing set are
already in the works! We live in an amazing
family-oriented community in North
Carolina. We love our location because
there are many family friendly activities and
we are close to both the mountains and the
beach. Our neighborhood has sidewalks,
walking trails, 2 pools, tennis courts and a
community center. We have lots of families
with young children that live on our street
so there is always someone riding a bike,
skate boarding or just playing outside. We
have several friends in the neighborhood
and enjoy having cookouts and neighborhood
gatherings. There are numerous local parks,
YMCA, YWCA, and highly ranked schools.

Our family and friends have been a great source of support and
comfort to us. Everyone is thrilled about welcoming another
baby into the family.
Kelli's parents are retired and live just a few hours away, so we
see them often. Kelli's brother, Ryan, works as an attorney and
is married to a lovely woman named Chastity. They are
expecting their first child in just a few months. Mickey's
parents live within a days drive, and we see them several times a
year. Mickey's brother and sister-in-law, Laura & Eric, live close
by and are Godparents to our son. They just recently had their
first child, a baby boy named Cole. Mickey's youngest brother,
Jeff, lives in New York City and is busy traveling the country as
a financial consultant. Mickey's sister, Shelly, lives an hour
drive from us with her husband DJ.
