Career Paper Outline For this project, you are required to create an MS Word document. Open a new, blank document. Today you are doing the outline and introduction. 1. Save As Career Research Paper in your Career Folder 2. Type the information for the top of the paper: Name, Teacher name, subject, date. 3. Type the title of your paper, set as Title style, and center. Update Title style. 4. Switch to Outline View. (View Tab) Add the following headings at Level 1 & Level 2 for: • • • • • Introduction Career choices o First o second Goals o high school o college goals o Life Goals Conclusion, Bibliography or Citations (heading will be inserted when you insert the Bibliography piece) Rename, rearrange, and add headings as appropriate: i.e. Pediatrician instead of 1st Career Choice 5. Switch back to Print Layout View 6. Set the margins to 1 inch 7. Add an introduction paragraph below the heading “Introduction” 8. Change the paragraph to MLA format. (1st line indent, double space) 9. Create a new style named “MLA Style” based on the first paragraph 10. Insert a header to MLA format (last name, and page number) 11. Insert a page break at the end of the document for Bibliography or Citations to be on its own page 12. Begin typing your paper under the headings. Minimum Requirements: -- see the Cases and Places 4-4. Use these guidelines, and you may want to include some of those ideas in your paper. Remember – this is the grade for Cases and Places 4-4.
