English fluency is required. While an English proficiency exam is not required, IEP students are expected to meet the fluency standard of the UCLA Anderson MBA student body (for reference, over 100 on the TOEFL IBT or 610 on the TOEFL paper-based test, or 7.0 overall on the IELTS).
Program is restricted to second-year MBA students only. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are not eligible. Test scores, transcripts and student applications are not required.
Late arrivals are not permitted.
Class attendance is mandatory. Presentations, group projects and active class participation contribute toward the final grade.
N OMINATION & R EGISTRATION P ROCEDURES
April 1, 2014
Nominated students will receive a welcome e-mail with a link to an online registration site to input personal information and upload documents, including:
- a scan of their passport (and the passport of any accompanying dependent);
- a photo;
- a scan of their most recent bank statement (minimum $7,200 for student; add
$1,500 for spouse; add $670 per child);
- and a scan of their curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
A mandatory $1000 (approximate cost) health insurance fee can be paid via credit card. All students attending UCLA Anderson are required to pay this fee and purchase UCLA health insurance. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Students must obtain a J-1 Visa.

A CADEMICS
Students will receive a list of recommended Management electives via email. Please note that the schedule of courses changes every term. The schedule of courses is not posted until about one month before the term start date. View general list of courses at www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule by selecting the “Fall 2014” term and the “Management” subject area.
One 4unit class = 30 “contact hours”; four 4-unit classes (a total of 16 units) is standard.
UCLA uses letter grades; a “B” letter grade = satisfactory/pass, the minimal acceptable grade.
Students must order transcripts directly from the UCLA Registrar’s Office. Students will be given access to transcript requests upon registration.
E XPENSES & R ESOURCES
On-campus housing is not available. The average cost of local rentals is $900 to $1800 per month. A link to the UCLA Community Housing Office will be provided upon registration.
Estimate $700 for books and an additional $500 per course readers. International shipping fees will apply for transcripts. Please note all students are required to bring a laptop with
Windows 7 operating system; Mac notebooks will have some limitations.
Approximately $0.50 - $1.00 per public bus ride.
UCLA BruinCard (photo identification) allows student access to UCLA campus recreation services, libraries, UCLA Anderson facilities and student services.
UCLA Anderson student clubs are open to exchange students. Academic advising is available upon request.
Internships are not available due to U.S. immigration laws; limited career services are available. Alumni services are not available for exchange students.
