This eClass is comprised of four independent homework sessions and five online sessions, and a
final assessment (quiz and case study).
This eClass will help the new commercial or business lending officer to learn to read and analyze
various financial statements and ratios from a lender’s perspective. It will also assist with assessing a
business’s financial picture and enable the lender to make better informed credit decisions.
This course will equip you to:

Read and understand financial statements from various businesses.

Measure an organization’s profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity.

Recognize strengths and weaknesses in a business’s financial position.

Determine a business’s creditworthiness for both short and long-term debt repayment.
Why eClass?
Credit unions are asking for timely, relevant, cost-effective ways for their employees to learn. Using case
studies enables practical, skill-building learning that is applicable immediately back on the job. Given the
geographic diversity of our country, the eClass enables employees from across the country to come
together and benefit from this type of learning experience.
The eClass provides a rich, interactive learning environment where employees can spread their learning
over several sessions while never leaving the office. Employees can continue their work duties while taking
a break to complete their course work, giving them the opportunity to consolidate, and apply what they
have learned to date.
